  1. I have installed software for NV5000 board and have registered it on avermedia website. I am trying to log on remotely to the DVR server from another location however am unable to. I have made an exhaustive search of your product and its software for about two or three days now and am unable to find any answer. I tried logging onto your DDNS website via http://ddns.avers.com.tw/index.php but am unable to do so. The CD-key I am using is XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX which is a brand new key just purchased and the software version is 7.7.0.0007. I have forwarded the ports on the router and have installed the web viewer software on remote machine. What am I doing wrong? Is there anywhere I can find a step by step tutorial on this process. I have looked over and over the manual but without any success.

hi. which ports did you open. just as a quick test input this into IE http://your ip:5550/mobile see if you get a image

also how old is your card if you have purchased a new CD key plus 7.7.0.0007 is around 3 years old

  2. Hello? Is that App out already?

When I use Bubo Bubo I always get the error: "Could not connect to server. Please try again later".

I think that iPhone doesn't even try to connect... Strange and nerve wrecking!!!

My settings: DVR Name: Casa 67

    Host: 192.168.1.101

    Port: 80

    Username: user

    Pass: pass

Can someone please help me here? I'm sick and tired of trying to get this thing work with the Lupus LE800.

    Thanks!!!

for apps you need to change your port to 5550

  3. Can anyone suggest any Day/Night outdoor dome cameras, I can find lots of bullet cameras for outside operation but am having trouble finding dome cameras for outdoors that I can get shipped to Canada.

Any help would be great, manufactures, websites anything.

take a look at the CNB range. available in canada

  4. Another issues is temperature range...

HDD will never can work under minus temperatures. Moreover, if temperature will rise more than 40C the disk timelife will drop exponentilally...

    Think about it as well...

If Aver will use SSD disks, it will solve the problem, but will *REALLY* increase the price for the final solution. Moreover, I don't know which interface Aver is using, but I suppose it IDE and all IDE SSD disks are quite slow for linear reading and writing...

can i just point something out . the CVG-M is on two cameras. now you say HD sould not be used. look at video . the unit with the same spec as avers oh and look plug in mobile interface mmmmmm you say should not be used. standard hard drives you also say cant be used oh and can only be viewed on there software and costs alot more that avers. the CVG-M is nothing like the avers buy compair with the MVG-400. which is the same in components. http://www.live-view.co.uk/vehicle.php

  5. Hi,

I was looking for a surveillance software and i found this.

All my home is now under surveillance.I'm secure and satisfied.

    [mod edit: spam link removed]

    " title="Applause" />

glad your satisfied. however just would like to point out a few things. company registered in Canada but money goes to israel. and you have no contact details on your site at all. if the product is that good why hide

  6. It just looks quite ugly, IMHO

i have seen the CVG-M and one thing you dont do is buy on looks alone. but the CVG-m does look cheap . nothing fitts cant record anything as long as the avers. if we stuck that system in buses or police cars we would loose the contract. and just to point out HD mobile systems have been around much much longer than sd systems. so i cant see how you can say HD systems are a no no.

the CVG-M taken from there own website .......... looks like it has been run over by a bus

    file_30-1.jpg

the avers. if i was buying by looks ........ mmmmmmmmmmm

  7. the firmware 1043 killed it good

Had to buy a different newer DVR

Be warned those who throw firmware on there sets when there is no need

thats the problem firmware people think it makes the system newer ... firmware is for quick fixes and should only be used as such

  8. I'm upgrading (slowly) my cctv system. It is a Witness 2K comprising of 4 cameras connected to B/W monitor via a 6 pin mini din. I initially wish to take just the video signal to a new dvr. Each camera has audio in and out as well as power (12V I think) and video.

Does anyone know the pin wiring for this make / type of cctv system.

I wish to keep the cameras, for now. And keep them powered from the monitor, befor obviously upgrading them. Then the monitor.

hi. there are so many different configs for the 6 din plugs you would be best opening the cameras and looking for each connection wire that way. but you are still going to have problems with power that would have also come from the monitor. also you will not be able to use your existing monitor you might find it cheaper to buy new colour cameras.

  9. Hello

    I'm Bekir from Skopje,R.Macedonia

My problem is when gv 800 recorded with the same settings in all computers but the capacity of recording is different

    for example

in pc1 for one day capacity is 2GB

in pc2 for one day capacity is 8GB with the same settings and the same Operating systems

what can be the problem ?

    Thanks!

hi just depends on what is being recorded.

1 store could have 15 customers an hour and an other store could have 100 customers an hour giving you more data to record.

  10. Hi soundy,

thank you for your reply. you said

two cameras to one receiver can be done - you'll need a two-channel receiver, that would then have two separate outputs for two separate video signals.

i never seen analog 2 or 4 channel receiver with 'two separate output for two separate video signals'.

Please guide me where can i buy it.

    thanks again

many makes out there 2 to 4 wireless units. for the price of each is high. and with 25 cameras it would be cheaper for you to wire your system. you could even go microwave units (10 cameras on each) but i dont think you looking at spending $3k

  11. Hi away to go would be hybrid DVR/NVR. if you intend to do your install in stages. use a mix of standard and ip. for a domestic install you dont want the cost of a licence to use ip which some do charge for. most hybrid systems will take most ip cameras now and its also something they update all the time.

if you are just looking to protect your front door at the moment then you could just save yourself money with using good standard cameras.

  12. Hi

I have a budget of around £500 uk pounds. What I find hard to work out

is what are the differences between the various PVRs? I really need one

that can store photos locally and send the to an ftp server. Based on my budget

    what choices do I have?

    cheers

    pt

can i ask why you want to send small footage clips via ftp.

  13. Thanks for your reply mate, really appreciate your advice.

Must agree, one got carried away with ones purchase, not so smart after all

The Vivotek’s are old but when I look at the new Ip cameras they are hundreds of quids each. I thought I was getting a good bargain. I asked all the ebayers that bought same camera from this seller. They have all told me that they are happy with the product and they bought em co’s they also believed they were getting a bargain like. To be honest mate, I could resell every one of these and reckon could recover all my costs, Co’s they’re still boxed up. Should I stick with em or what?

When you say that avers patch in 24 hours; do you mean avers do a tailored patch for brands not compatible with their product for free. If that is the case, they are just awesome company.

I have written to them, will update here when I get a reply, for the benefit of others.

    tc

yes keep your Vivotek cameras and if you go with avers you will get a free patch. you are just going to have problems with the DM camera. if you resell you may get more than you paid for it. if someone is just looking for 1 camera with built in recording and webserver

  14. Checked NAT settings, it was enabled. But then she told me that she has two connections " title="Applause" />

    1) BT line with TalkTalk on it.

    2) BT line with BT broadband.

She phoned BT(2) and asked for static IP address and they gave her, but to the line which she is not using She is using TalkTalk connection which has dynamic ip and doesn`t let connect from outside. Oh well, woman That`s why I thought why IP keeps changing and its not the one BT told her on the phone.

Because she doesn`t have BT box, she will order one and call me again. That should solve this mistery

hi robert. well that solves the confusion. when you get your BT router or hub it will have a security feature on it this will not allow you to assign a port to a ip. but your dvr will show as a mac address and you assign your ports to that.

  15. That's okay, I've banned him now - he basically just took to replying to everything with "PM if you want more info". Apparently he was unclear on the purpose of the forum.

good ban..... need to do it twice as he is also using the name cctvikegata

  16. Thanks for your prompt reply! I have never heard of Servision bearing in mind I am based in Ireland and this is my first mobile DVR job. I had a quick look on the Servision site and it looks very good maybe too good for what I need...I will give you a bit more info see what you think.

This man has around 5-10 buses quite a small operator and thus does not want to spend to much. All he has said in terms of spec to me is that he was interested in GPS and be able to watch live video from the buses on his home computer.

So what do you recommend? Again thanks in advance

not a bad little unit this one. http://www.aver.com/Surveillance/Product/Detail.aspx?id=239

  17. one of my custome sell our products in spain for over 100 pounds

see just go to posts to add your signature. pounds in spain .... like it

    check the picture.

    ok, €

    then what?

see its a problem when you make things up .. yes spain is euro.

now sort your other problem out .... in your signature. how can you claim this. CCD CCTV Camera & H.264 Standalone DVR for 20 years

like i said its a hard time being a spammer. its even harder when thay dont know what they are talking about.

would i buy from you NO.

  18. Prices over here in the UK are extortionate.

Hi. does not matter were you buy brand name products will be around the same.

what i would say is dont buy anymore cameras. i have just looked at your ebay listing on the DM camera. listed as ip .... well sort of ... its a standard camera with a encoder built in. not a true ip and your vivotek are 3 years old.

if you was to use avers then it would take 24hrs to have your old cameras with a patch. but your DM camera you will find it hard to get a hybrid / nvr to be compatable ... you will need software like milestone to use all your cameras.

but the DM is everything built in recorder and server so you can set that up and use without a DVR/NVR.

  19. Hello

I just bought a 4 camera DVR CCTV setup from a store in Preston, Lancashire. The DVR worked and recorded activity outside my home.

The problem was that the footage was recorded in a propriety .264 format which could only be viewed on the DVR. The enclosed software did not work well with Windows 7.

I was unfortunately unable to convert the .264 files to anything useful such as H.264, AVI, MP4, DIVX or XVID.

I would very much appreciate any suggestions for DVR systems which will allow me to use software to convert footage to H.264 or AVI and can then be viewed on any computer. No point having evidence which I can't give to the police.

    Cheers
