Hello, I have an OYN-X ATL-IO-16CASE at our new business premises but I don't have the password. Are you able to provide a temporary password for this? Many thanks in advance.

@tomcctv - be very glad of your help!

Hi we’re are you based ?  Also can you post a picture of the menu screen OYN-X and distributor of many recorders

  2. Hi the problem with 4K and SD card storage only is the amount of data …… a day or so storage is pointless especially if you go away for weekend or on holiday

it is better to have at least 2weeks storage to look back on

cctv is not just for crime it also helps in other ways like disputes with parcels being delivered  was it delivered or stolen also helps if someone else in the street has damage done to there cars …… it’s always good to view recordings going back more than a day or so

many of my customers like seeing the wildlife around there property…… cats playing with hedgehogs…. Foxes  and a customer sent me a picture of a albino badger and they are very rear in the uk

    Hello everybody,

I have come here to learn as I am considering installing a CCTV system around my home but have never had one before. Been lurking a while, seems a good place to learn 😀

Hi. Good to see your going to do some homework first

as far as the install goes with equipment today it’s easy and you will probably like the experience

I was in Boston in November servicing a system

A lot of times, I see members here talking about doing their own installation but what most do not know is that there are certain factors that like us at Encinitas Home Security do for our clients - 100% perfect installation which results in a lifetime of home security.

Load of crap ………anyone can take pride in their work …….. a home owner knows his home structure better than you

but if your so good why do you need to spam ?   You should have orders for most of this year …….spamming says your not and also not the best

just looked at you domain name …… it was only purchased in October 2022

99,cents for 1 year runs out November 2023

it was $10 for 10 years

And on Facebook cctv installers page they rank hikvision in the top 3 best makes

This is the problem when people believe everything from hikvision sellers

instead of Facebook do a search on worldwide hikvision ban  …. Your uk …… so banned in some situations and now looking at no large data by isp could ban

you should read the terms and conditions when loading the app

people buy security for protection but hikvision take so much of your personal information and your contacts information and then you allow them to track your mobile phone (if app installed on it) even if your 1000s miles from your home cameras hik track you ……. Your data is more important as it’s valuable to them

Hi I have an aging DVR Adata Apollo (8ch) currently running 2.606.AD00.0 build date 02/02/10 looking for a firmware update. Its stopped recording, I remover the HDD and it works fine in a PC. Hoping a firmware update may fix it

Hi firmware won’t help at all and not available anyway.
moving hard drive onto your pc will work as it will format and use different sectors

insert and new drive into your dvr and let dvr format it

DVRs are cheap I would replace your old dahua lite unit

  7. Hi there are a few things but your description sounds like your internet has been logged onto ….. there are devices that allow people to log into Wi-Fi that is not there’s

I would start by asking your service provider to change your network (external iP) address

also in many routers now you can schedule Wi-Fi to switch off ……. Your system will still work and have internet access

you also have the switch Wi-Fi off remotely with your cell phone or pad

there should also be in your router log a black list option under connections  were you can block log on iP address that you don’t recognise or logging in at unusual times

if you find on your router IP address you don’t know PM them to me and I’ll locate them for you

You could use a software program to change the resolution of your camera on the fly, without having to go through the hassle of changing it every time you want to take a picture.

You are very right ……. But it has a name

    SuperLive plus

  9. Hi. After seeing your pic of power supply I would also say yes …. That looks like a 12v 4 amp power supply which is well under powered for the cameras you have

also don’t replace with another brick type power supply as problems effect your whole system instead of 1 cam fault

this is what you should be using because it supplies the right amps to each of your camera ….. 4 or 5 amp power supply is not good for 5 cameras ….. 1.5 amp x 5 = 7.5amp

no pro would use the brick type with pig tail leads

  10. Hi the good old pioneer….. good units I have lots out

first thing to look at is in resolution or camera setup you will see a button for PAL and NTCS

it needs to be on PAL for the uk ….. that’s your first place to look

you could also have a camera that is going bad …….. unplug one camera at a time and see if anything changes

can you post a picture of the camera power supply

  11. Hi it’s ok to answer questions ….. it helps you save money as you learn

With you having analog cameras (your ptzs) 5 in 1 gives you all formats

    analog ——tvi——cvi—-ahd——and iP

going 4K is a little overkill all it does is use up your hard drive space

your dvr at the moment is max 960 tvl a new dvr at 5mp is all you need

I will pm you a dvr

also while your searching for a dvr don’t look at hikvision or dahua in the uk they won’t have a long life span
