-

they are not cctv cameras
-
Doing update or firmware does not alter the password …. So you should still be able to use your existing one
for that unit the default is

i'm new here, if this is a stupid question, please be gentle
regards
gabriel
Hi Gabriel… yes it is very possible but depending on a few things
are the 3 cameras located in same area and the distance from cameras to recorder
but yes 3 cameras down one cat cable is done by running all 3 cameras to a 4way Poe switch
you then have the option to run one cat cable from switch to router or using tp-link Ethernet power adapters

Hi can you post a picture of your menu screen
when you say takes you to apple is that the app page or apple website
that app has had no support for over two years and has been removed from some countries
-
Hi yours is the xmeye 8 channel card and also using 4K will not work as that card is only 5mp so that alone might reduce your channel’s
-
Hi how many cameras are you using and what megapixel
-
Hi. The first thing I would do is swap out your nvr ….. reason being the 900 nvr did not do what was on the box
4K HD was a dahua rendered 4K monitor display only unit (lorex is dahua) and I would not replace with either a lorex of dahua (you will be wasting your money if you do
also you will see I big improvement in your existing cameras both in display and storage
nvrs are cheap so I would look at going 16 way …8 for existing cameras and 8 for adding some cameras
what is your budget

Hi it’s not as easy as that
what make of dvr are you using and how old
opening a PS file is not video ….. depending on your recorder type you might also find snap shot (photograph taken)
this will be a ps file and you don’t need software to open it ….. you just send it direct to your printer
-
Hi I would switch off power supply to cameras wait a minute or so then switch back on ….. it looks like the IR sensor is stuck and switching off and on again might sort it out

Hikvision - I cant find a clear answer for this. Can anyone confirm or deny?
I have got 2 Hikvision dome camera with SD cards. Can I also store in cloud somehow?Yes you can …. But why have the extra cost
are you creating your own cloud or a 3rd party
-
Just started looking for firmware and found this hikvision release note
-
Hi no it’s only hikvision software
2010 to 2016 was a bad time for hikvision there software had so much malware built in and spyware they were forced to change everything….. this also included iP camera software which was also replaced and had to be done in 2015
your problem points to camera firmware
if your system can’t see iP cameras iP address then you need to find the update for your cameras …… your iP cameras should be either 1.3 or 2mp build date should be
Hikvision Firmware V5.3.0 build 150513
-
Hi. Yes that is a hikvision ds72 first hit the market in 2012 …… last update 2016
also hikvision will not help with these systems all firmware and software were removed from all hikvision portals
-
Hi that is expensive…… and the camera you have listed is old model turret
From Europe you will also pay duty
what part of uk are you in
-
Hi. Not a problem …. You can buy these local if your near a city
also please check back with which prices you find ….. some sellers are putting 60% on

What type of camera do you have
-
Hi yes the viper can use any make of cctv cameras both analog and iP upto 4K also with or without audio. (Audio is good for front door and car parking area)
-
Hi yes you can go 4K ….. but in most cases 4K on all cameras just takes away your footage storage space unless you buy bigger hard drives
i would still use a mix of 2mp upto 8 mp …. Having 4 or 5mp cameras protecting small areas is good enough in most cases 4K in large outdoor areas makes sense
I would look at the viper units …. They have the best remote app on the market we’re you have full control and also footage burn off and send via email
-
Hi. 16 channel… is this home or business system
I would not go hikvision …. No point buying problems
swapping a 16 cam system can be expensive done all in one go. So I would go with first changing the recorder to a hybrid. This then allows you to swap out your existing cameras any time
-
Hi can you tell use what equipment your using dvr /nvr or pc based recorder and make
looking for files points to you removing the hard drive?
most recorders under 10 years old you burn footage off direct from recorder (backup files)
how have you got to this stage in finding files
-
Hi then I would swap over two wires
pin 1 (orange/white) I would swap with pin 8 (brown)
so you have this
pins
1= brown
2= orange
3= green/white
4= blue
5= blue/white
6= green
7= brown/white
8= orange/white
and do this at both ends of your cat5

I find the CCTV footage file ended with ".ps" file extension.
How to open and watch it?
what kind of file it is?
same as mp4?
Hi I think you might be looking at all this wrong
unless your system is old or pc based opening file extensions is a thing of the past
which dvr/nvr does the files come from ?
-

are your cameras analog or iP (connection BNC or RJ45)
ony x falcon
