  1. Hi. todd.

i have the new aver mobile. it is alot better than the old one. the 3g side also comes from avermedia so no need to have to set up remote view. also it is now linked to google maping. i am in the uk but i have a friend in america if you still have problems getting hold of one. what i would say is other mobile dvrs have a long way togo to catch up with the new avermedia.

  2. Hi. rawbe.

if you can view your home system from work but cant when you get back home...... it is just a ip problem. all you need to do is login with your local ip and not the ip you use when away from your home. you dont need to touch your router.

  3. hi. ginogag.

its not as easy as sending you manual. i have been doing cctv for 30 years and i would not like to build my own. you need things like the right motherboard graphics cards googles that connect to dingdongs. plus a very good dvr card. and its a no no from ebay thats why they are on ebay.

they are some very good guys on here who know what you need and can give you very good info on gear.

lets face it the guys who build on here passed off jobs from nassa because it was to easy...............building your own is BL**DY HARD

  4. Hi lastboyscout.

if your old cameras work then use them and in some cases old cameras are alot better than some of the cheap stuff on the market today. but i would say upgrade to a new dvr if you wish to have remote viewing on laptop or cellphone. i am in the uk but i buy my dvrs from america i use avermedia you can see a demo on my site at

  5. Hi. tweety.

if this is your first time with ip.... and your first time inserting cards into a pc then i would say .....dont do it .............it will cost you money and then more money and a bit more. here is an easy way for you have a look at the link. then have a talk with thewireguys on what your camera needs are. the dvr in the link i have one here and i have been testing it for over a week and you can run a 5mp camera
