    Power suggestion

This is why I love siamese, and a good power box. One run, and everything falls just in place.

  3. Then put a small ditch in, other than a speed bump, I don't see what else you can do.

    ICRealtime DVR

I believe that either a high ranking rep, or maybe the owner is a member here.
  5. For the next time, it would also be useful to use a quad processor with loop-out, which then you can run to the DVR.

    Help with Eyemax

If you got it on eBay then it could be a pirated card, which in turn will cause the DVR software to shut down. There is only one distributor that I know of that carry these systems. One way to tell is be reading this: http://wwwDOTeyemaxdvrDOTcom/ Post more info when you have it.

whats a good 4ch standalone with remote view

It all depends on what budget you are in, I have used many different units at different price levels and it all comes down to cost. AVTECH (or CpCam) would be the most cost economic option, but I don't remember if is has the masking features that you are asking about. Last year, I was beta testing a unit from GE security, the new Digia 2 series, and it has functions such as masking and something called network bandwith saving mode, which I believe is plays with the quality settings throught the video transmision over the network so that it achieves the best posible frame rate. This is a little on the high side, compared to AVTECH, but is something to keep in mind if the user is going to be using a AIRCARD to view the video. NO CDRW option on this one, but it does have a USB connection where you can backup the data and then use a PC to transfer the images to a CD. http://www.gesecurity.com/portal/site/GESecurity/menuitem.f76d98ccce4cabed5efa421766030730?selectedID=11746&seriesyn=true&seriesID= Another option, although I personally have not used them would be ICrealtime. Another member here can probably explain their features better than me.

That is cool. for the right price, update everything to color/Digital, and take that monitor out, and put a LCD in there.

    Stuck on camera selection

Fair enough. Doesn't bother me any - I don't really care who the domain was registered to. I don't know who Hermin Sanchez is and I don't care why his name appeared to be on your domain, no do I know why anyone should care. Peace. Thank You.

Look, I'm done with this BS. Look up anything you guys want, it really doesn't affect me. I am going to say it for the last time, and this is it. I DID NOT buy the domain name from him, I got it on my own. I am not him, think whatever you guys want. Like I said, it's just a internet forum, nothing else. IT does NOT affect me personally in any way shape or form. Unless the Admin or a Mod tells me differently, I will continue to contribute to this forum on my own, any more questions or anything else related to this I will just simply ignore. I've been here for 3 years now, and never got questioned regarding this. I apologize to all the people that have had their time wasted on this topic that in all honesty, doesn't belong here. Stuck on camera selection

Ok man, this is going to be the last straw. If you keep calling me this person, you are going to leave me no remedy but to pursue ways to make you stop. I don't feel the need to keep trying to say who I am, and because of the way you decided to taint the domain, I actually shut it down, and moved to another name. And by the way, I did a little diggin on my own, and you Mr. Levon, aren't that squeaky clean either. None of my business and none of any forum member's business either, but there's a really nice thing that I could post here, but unlike you, I do have something called integrity. Please, for the last time, stop playing games. I've been on this forum since 2005, why attack me now?. The gentelman posted a question about problems that he's having, and we are all trying to help him out, but here you come and do the same thing you did to the other thread that I started, and did what's called "thread hijacking". Now this thread is probably going to get locked and the questions never fully answered. Good Job!!

    Stuck on camera selection

From Experience in working (and owning) General Mechanic garages, you can skip WDR cameras by simply mounting the camera to look sideways instead of right in front of the bay doors, if it's posible. What size lenses are you going to be using?

The first thing you need to tell us is the conditions of the install. Are you looking for regular hi resolution cameras, do you need any Day/Night Cameras? How about lighting conditions inside the shops? If you are looking at Arm, and need to save, then start looking at some of the OEM'S manufacturers.

Then you defenetly want a IR camera, I'd stick to bullets, when you use domes, you tend to have problems with the IR bouncing off the cover.

    Help with GE camera

Hello, Camera facing the front of my house, looking down the street. Ok, here's my problem. I have a GE Wide Dynamic D/N camera, model GEC-HDR1-DN. http://www.gesecurity.com/portal/site/GESecurity/menuitem.f76d98ccce4cabed5efa421766030730?selectedID=116871&seriesyn=true&seriesID= Right now, I have it hooked up to a manual iris 3.5-8mm lens. During the day, this is the pic I get: But at night time, the BW picture comes in crystal clear. If I adjust the iris during the day, the camera looks flawless, but at night you can bearly see anything. I've been thinking a autoiris lens that I have here, just not sure if there are more settings that I could play with in the camera's menu. Before I spend the $$ for a good lens, I would like to get some opinions first. Thanks.
  18. That version is full of bugs. What CPU are you running?

Oh yeah, one more thing, just in case there is any doubts, the registar data says that it was last updated today, Jan 6, 2008, because I accessed it from my control panel from my hosting service.

Uhm, that you are a very lonely man, and I feel sorry for you? Do you really have nothing better to do? He must have really screwed you for someone with "your integrity" to have the time to work on this. Funny thing is that I just looked up my domain everywhere, and it comes up the way it's supposed to, except the link that YOU provided? Here are the links that I have: http://www.register.com/whois_info.rcmx?requestType=validate_challenge http://resellers.tucows.com/whois/index_html Whois info for, cctvkings.com: Registrant: CCTV KINGS, LLC 132 West Main St, Suite 540 Waterbury, CT 06710 US Domain name: CCTVKINGS.COM Administrative Contact: Santiago, Roberto robertsec@gmail.com 132 West Main St, Suite 540 Waterbury, CT 06710 US 203-565-9969 Fax: 203-565-9968 Technical Contact: Santiago, Roberto robertsec@gmail.com 132 West Main St, Suite 540 Waterbury, CT 06710 US 203-565-9969 Fax: 203-565-9968 Registrar of Record: TUCOWS, INC. I'm not going to keep playing this game with you, I already told you, I know who he is, he is in jail, and if he's not, I'm not him. I made a post to get help on a particular problem, and I got some great answers. This is one reason that I see since 2005 why after a little while most users just don't bother coming back. So please whatever problem it is that you are having, keep it to yourself. Back to the topic at hand...

    Install tip

Depending one the job, sometimes putting the rings in it will take you almost double the time that traditional "pulls". Expecially if it's one of those customers that pay next to nothing.

Also, what name/model is the camera and lens? What type DVR? Plus, if possible, post a picture of the image so that we can take a look and try and give you more accurate resolutions.
