    WTS 8 channel video card

I purchased this card from CCTV.NET though one of their distributors. I paid $221 I'd like $175 shipped. I'll take paypal I took it out of the box and tried to mount it and found out it would not fit in the IBM Thinkcentre I had so I got a used Axis 241Q
  2. Problems were me not understanding terminology. It is up and running I purchased a used Axis 241Q . I followed the reset routine in the manual. I then ran the Axis IP utility to change the IP address from the default 192.168.0.090. When done I select the home page button up comes a box with user “root” asking or for a password and a confirmation. When I enter it I get a box asking for a user and password I key root and the password I had set, enter it and get the same box back. I cannot get beyond this. The IP utility finds the address I assigned 192.168.0.120 This PC does not have internet access when I have IP devices I'm trying to attach. I am using Luxriot software and it sees my IP cameras no problem. My connection to the internet is through an Apple Time Capsule and I have not figured out what all my settings need to be to allow the PC to have it's 192.168.X.X address and get to the internet. Any suggestions? Got it so I can configure but now Luxriot cannot connect. Can someone point me to an "expert" in this business?
  3. I had my house wired Cat5 to 6 locations. I then mounted 2 Acti cameras both ACM-1231. Image on one is upside down. Both cameras mounted the same. Setup problem? Yes it was! I had VIDEO FLIP checked. All fixed
  4. I have a Panasonic WV-CW484S, CNB VBM-24Vf and 2 ACTI ACM-1231 cameras. I am hiring a neighbor to run the wires. He is doing it tomorrow. I purchased 2 sets of baluns to use with the analog cameras. The baluns have 2 power wires this works fine with the CNB but the Panasonic has 3 wires, 2 power and 1 ground. Cat5 or Siamese cable there is no ground line. What have others done with the ground? pic of the wiring for both cameras and the balun. Panasonic on the right.
  5. Anyone wired an AXIS T90A20 IR-LED ? Here is a look inside The 2 on the left are for the feed to the device. I don't understand how to connect the wires. The L N E is where the 120 line goes. Don't know how to attach or the size of the wire to use. Pic below shows where the wires enter the box. The device is wired(bottom pic) and the holes look like they are sized right. The hole on the right is where the 120 line comes in. The only cable I have that would fit is a low voltage one. Instructions are no help. Suggestions?
  6. I am waiting for 2 IP and 2 analog cameras to arrive and my neighbor to schedule a day to run cables. Since wiring has not started should I run cat5 to all camera locations and then split it for the 2 analog cameras I'm getting. I have space to add 2 more IP and 2 more analog. I'm guessing over time I'll want to have all IP.

    I HATE PCs

rory a big thank you. After reading your post I decided to start over. I reloaded XP then went out ad got SERVICE PACK 3 loaded it. Luxriot gave me the latest download linkand...... IT WORKS
  8. I have been using an Imac for the last 2 years. I decided that for my DVR system I'd buy a reufrbished IBM PC with Windows XP professional installed. When I took out the 500 gb drive and installed a 1TB drive I loaded windows XP using the cd that came with the machine. The install would not recognize the network card. When I tried to remove it than reinstall it it could not find the drivers. So I remove the 1TB drive and put the 500 gb drive in. I then download Luxriot software that I had purchased and get MICROSOFT C++ RUNTIME oXoooo36b1 4 times I continue on with the install and get Cannot execute DVRSERVER.EXE code 14001 dvrserverwatchdof.exe code 14001 dvrclientr.exe code 14001 dvrclient.exe code 14001 mjpco1.exe code 140011 Dvrrundll.exe code 140011 I have a problem entered with Luxriot. 1TB HD is working with the networkk card I have drivers for the network card so I'll go back and see if I can get the 1TB drive to run the system. This time I'm saving the settings from the 500Gb drive to use with the 1TB when I install it. It's a good thing I'm retired and have my time free.

    Hello from So Florida

Wife said she felt we needed a camera system so not being satisfied with an out of the box system I decided to start ordering some parts and doing it myself. 2 Acti 1231, 2 CNB VBM-24VF. Building my own DVR. Various other stuff on the way. Neighbor who does phone systems and has done some camera systems will be doing the wiring (he will be paid his normal rates). I won’t be posting any helpful replies since I don’t know what I’m doing. I know I’ll be posting some questions hope they are not simple ones like where do I plug it in. Please be gentle Gerry
