The Ultimate IP Camera Guide - Start Here!vector18 replied to Peter_'s topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions It's a small store and they're all Asian. They all know the products inside and out and have actually taught me alot. They offer free team viewer support on installs, and as much help as possible over the phone no matter how much you buy. They were the same amount of friendly towards me when I first started going there and now. I just don't know what it would be like for Internet orders?

Mounting Bracket/Base/Spacer for Dahua ipc-hfw2100/qcn7001bvector18 replied to PeterGibbons's topic in Installation Help and Accessories The seal that comes with the box is under the cover. It is there, you just don't see it. As far as the camera on the cover, I use clear or white silicone.

Sounds like it could be a dvr issue if different devices lost the search feature? Did you try rebooting the dvr or upgrading the firmware?
-
Try deleting the software and reinstalling it. I have windows 7 and get regular updates and I still have my calendar.

Web server means you can open an internet browser and view your cameras instead of needing software to do it. You do not need to pay a 3rd party for a static IP. If configured correctly, your DVR will update your IP to a ddns server for you. Dahua is a good brand for hd-sdi for the money.

I have a brand new Dahua 5232 nvr. It does not have a hard drive, but for 150.00 I can add a 3TB for it. NVR alone is 600.00 plus shipping or 750.00 with a 3TB plus shipping.

Well, considering, I do not have an issue with the camera right now, I might hold off on the AP in the building. But what are the disadvantages I have right now by not having a stronger signal? I haven't had any connection issues, picture quality is just fine, and ptz control is as normal.

Currently, I have the router as my personal internet source. My apt is concrete so I have an AP in my kids room for their ipad, iphones, and xbox. I am not allowed to mount anything on my building, so my only option would be another high powered AP set to repeater and pointed directly to the house down the block thru a window.

That's the best that I'm going to get unfortunetely. But, so far since the install, it has been a flawless connection and streaming remotely you cannot even tell it's over wifi.

I posted it last night, so what do you think?
