  1. The guys in Florida are selling the Comet 9 [price removed]. Any opinions on this? MJPEG Motion detection recording High resolution: 720X486 4 selectable video resolution settings Refresh rate up to 60fps (adjustable) Multi speed forward and reverse playback 2X to 32X On screen display and RTC
  2. I just installed some twist-ons last week. Each was bagged separately, and the plastic bag had a diagram to show correct termination. These were the Cambridge from ADI #CD-CPFIUG882 for $1.50. They also sell #GE-3024 at $1.00 It specifies the center conductor should be 9/16 long (from the dielectric to the end of the wire) This doesn't work, 1/2 inch is more like it. I could feel the center conductor entering the connector (very exciting), then I twisted; and it worked!

    opinions on these dvr's

How about an opinion on the Samsung-techwin svr-430 ? It is a current model, and priced pretty good. 4 channel, networkable, outputs for VGA, s-video, and BNC. Please tell me if it is missing any important features. http://samsungcctv.com/product/file_data/manual/20051115_1_SVR-430.pdf

Are they charging this year for the show?
  7. What do you use outside to protect connections? Are you able to keep all your connections inside the camera enclosure or do you use junction boxes?

    ISC in Vegas April 5-7

Is it worth going to Vegas for ISC? We end up buying the products from the Distributors anyway. I've been several times before, picked up many business cards written in Chinese from sales people who don't speak English; most of them looking for Distributors, no small quantity sales. Of course, you get to see PTZ cameras all in one place... Who's going to get us all in for free?
