  1. It should work. Have you tried it from the local network?

Help with resetting Speco D16VT Admin Password

Yes I believe you have to return it.
  3. A 26bit 125kHz Wiegand card is what it is. Doesn't matter the brand. They are all the same. Do you print on them? That could be the only issue is printing inconsistency with the lower priced cards. If your system will accommodate multiple facility codes you should be good. This card format is super easy to clone so many corporations have moved away from them.
  4. Change the record stream to event. Hikvision and all of their OEMs are the most frustrating in the industry to get motion detection to work. You have to set the recording schedule in one screen, recording stream in another screen, and motion detection settings in a third screen.
  5. It's absolutely possible with some port forwarding in the router. 3mb upstream? That would support maybe one 2mp camera. Will you have a static WAN IP?
  6. What is the speed of your data connection going to be? If you placed a recording appliance at the remote site and it would just be stolen they why wouldn't they steal the cameras? They make hardened DVR/NVR enclosures.
  7. That's been my experience with a ACTi A81 Can you remove the front cover to see if the issue is IR leakage? My A81
  8. Maybe the same camera but not the same shot. Hard to compare a daytime shot looking at water and a night time shot looking at trees and bushes. It still doesn't look bad for a shot in total darkness. You need a subject in front of the camera to see how well the person looks when the IR reflects off of them.
  9. Where is the night time shot?
  10. To make the card reader work you only need Red to 12v Positive Black to 12v Negative Green W1 and White W0. Connect the card reader directly to the controller to eliminate any wiring issues and see if it works there.
  11. What type of cable are you using from the Controller to the reader?
  12. You can also connect the LAN port of the DVR to a network POE switch and attach cameras that way. The NVR doesn't care which network the cameras are on. You don't have to use the built in switch if it's not practical.

    Dahua X24A5L Pro DVR

I'm looking for a good commercial Retail solution with a Mixture of analog and TVI. Camera count is above 16 so that really limits the choices without doing 2 DVRs which adds to confusion for the end user. I'm just not happy with Hikvision or any of the OEMs they do. Their software sucks and investigation is clumsy at best. I'm open to suggestions.
  17. Makes no difference. As long as its the same at both ends of the cable.

    Avigilon NVR/Camera Issue

ACC version, camera model, firmware version, and Network Topology info would be a nice start. Also is this an Avigilon Server or Other?
