    Thunderstorm and Lightning

Yes. I did. The cameras are working perfectly.
  2. Hello. My 8-channel digital video surveillance recorder lost two channels during a thunderstorm. A lightning flash caused two channels to white out and then go black, with the 'video loss' message displayed. There is no damage to the physical, external security cameras, and the issue seems to be with the recorder. The surveillance system is on a surge protector. Has this happened to anyone before? What did you do? Can I repair this myself? Or are there no solutions other than buying a new recorder?

    8-Channel DVR - 9th Black/Blank Box

Is it possible to find software to allow me to use a ninth input/camera where the blank box is? Or once disabled, is this no longer possible? Would I need to get a new box altogether?

    8-Channel DVR - 9th Black/Blank Box

Ah, I see. Thank you, Soundy. =) One more question: is there any system that allows you to utilize the ninth box for a ninth camera input?
  5. Hello. I have an 8-channel digital video surveillance recorder, but there is a ninth, black/blank box. Is this normal? If it is, could anyone explain its purpose? Thanks in advance. (I may have placed this in the wrong section.)
