  1. Cisco is block 80 port and some ISP also dose that for specefic use the port. And why you can see via cell phone I guess it may access via you wirless AP something else.

As I say most networking device is default 192.168.1.1 in Lan enviorment. If all people is use this IP add how to distinguish from million dot.

  2. There are two issue you need to set up for you desire DVR to view over Lan and WAN. First of all, no you need to make port forwarding and/or DDNS, otherwise how to identify and pin out the DVR? 192.168.XX.XXX is commonly default for most networking device. Now you just set it for LAN so you can find out it exist but its not reall IP addresss on the WAN.

Second, as you mentioned, you use Cisico router so you better replace HTTP port from 80 to other number i.e. 90, 9090 and etc.

  3. In my opinion, if you are tend to install IP camera around the 10 buildings, you may consider dispose optical fiber for those long and large space. As you shown you are versed at coaxial cable so trench pipeline is not difficult to you.

But as others suggest you on IP maping, I agree with that is cruncial issue for you. As well, you beter structure a indepent sub mesh for those surveillance for neat infrastructure. One question arrose from this huge project, how to storage those tons of data, NVR or NAS and how long is requested to be record?

Its not easy to say to you deployed xxxxxx 3, 2 or 1.3MP camera and no answer to why and how. All need to check whole ambience, power and etc.

  4. Hello,

The HD-SDI has complaince issue for the camera, dvr and gear. So you have to hook up HD-SDI camera to HD-SDI DVR. As for balun, which some supplier has release SDI-Balun for bridge cat5/5e cable with edge side.

Some supplier has offer Hybrid DVR solution to SD+HD-SDI, IP+HD-SDI or more SD+IP+HD-SDI.

  5. Hello Rech,

Most of all is fine for you posted thread. And I have check detailed on DVR which you listed and over all seems fine. You know, all need to on-site test for make sure capability is reach scratch you want.

With regarding external camera hook up Wireless, you can search some wifi pair device one is encode and another is decode then connect DVR.

PTZ all you can connect to RS-485 pole then default each title to identify at DVR for control.

  6. As you posted query, I think all is ok to work. But you better check does this item has support SPOT monitor, if it does you can access main menu to setup authentication for which functions and how high level he can operate at DVR.

If the one DVR does not support, you can create a ID and passords to him and as above mentioned, you default authentication to him and he can monitor via computer.
