I came to here because I have installed a CCTV in my home and i want help in this forum people and be helped too.

    Merry Christmas to everyone!

    Hi

    How are you ?

    any question ?

    Philip

  2. This just got a little more interesting. As of yesterday when I wrote the initial post, my camera wasn't tilting up to its max. Early this morning, our maintenance man shut the system down (by just unplugging it all) to replace a UPS. After he plugged it all back in, the camera was able to tilt up higher - like I want it to. Obviously, now all of my preset positions are wrong and need to be reprogrammed. I'm puzzled. Thoughts?!?

Here are some comparison images that I made of the before & after reboot tilt up maximums...

    Hi

Yes this is Dahua 's PTZ

The reason : The dome is so heavy and the motor is not strong enough .

Normally the step-motor goes step by step( 0.9 degree per step or less ) , but sometimes because it is too heavy it can not move rightly .

So when power it on , the ptz will restores .

you can reply this information to the seller .

    Hi

Normally the PTZ dome will send a signal to zoom module after power on , and Sony module will reply to the ptz ,

If it's signal is wrong, the ptz unit will can not zoom .

so Now can you zoom in or out ?

some ptz shall set the module's protocol . can i have the manual or the photo?

  5. Hi all,

I'm adding a out door ptz camera to my system, I was test running it lat night and noticed that it doesn't have an internal fan, is anyone else running a PTZ dome in the UK without an internal fan?

If so have you encountered any problems, dome fogging up or failures?

I think It is not so hot in UK

Can I have the photo to have a look at (who makes it )?

  6. Hello Everyone,

So I'm dealing with an issue with my neighbor. Basically she's filing false claims to animal control stating that our dogs bark all the time. When in all reality she has an issue with my husband and I because we're younger, have a house twice the size of hers, ect. She's contacted animal control and our HOA over 9 times within the past 15 months of us purchasing and moving into our home.

We have several months worth of video tape footage taken from our phones to prove our case every time we let our dogs outside. Although knowing animal control refuses to tell her to stop contacting them she can push this all the way to court. In court we want to show with out a doubt that we're not lying and proving with a 24 hour a day video/audio camera (since she can try to claim we let them out and don't always video/write in the log). We want a cheaper camera's since we don't need it for anything other than showing our dogs not barking. As long as you see the dogs outside and you can "hear" them that's all that matters to us. The only issue is we want to record what could be several months worth of video footage because we never know when she will strike again which this time will end up having an officer coming to the house to investigate to see if this can be taken to trial (which if we have all the video/audio footage that's being taken 24/7 it wouldn't). So I'm hoping you would help point us in the right direction to find a cheap method to record everything in our yard 24/7. The last thing we need is to go to court knowing we've already been to mediation. Not to mention in my city they can press misdemeanor charges against you which looks extremely bad on my husbands military career even if all charges are dropped.

TIA on helping us in this sad, petty situation.

    Trish

    HI

  7. I recently dropped a PTZ camera from a height of 10 feet. It is a Hikvision outdoor analog PTZ.

On installation it worked fine for a couple of days.

However, now it only zooms occasionally. The panning works just fine.

When the PTZ is switched on the lens zooms. However, after that the zoom works intermittently.

Is there a connection that I can check on the module or something else that I can do?

    Hi

How many pcs domes on this RS485 chain ?

Can you power off it and then power on it again ?

if it works ok , check the rs485 cable .

There are a 9pin cable between amera module and PTz unit , check it .

    night vision up to 50ft

  10. I'm in a market for a new home system.

    I have these cameras:

    1x ACTi ACM-1231

    3x Axis 205W

The Axis' I would use indoors to monitor the main rooms, the ACM-1231 will be outdoors pointing at my driveway.

    ---------------

Originally, I was going to buy Costco's Q-See 4 Channel HD Digital NVR, so that I would have an NVR and 4 additional outdoor cameras, but the NVR is 4 channel only so that wouldn't work. If it had an 8 channel NVR, it would've been an easy and affordable solution.

    ---------------

Is there another affordable (<$900) solution to add 4 outdoor cameras and an 8 channel NVR ?

Or is there an affordable (<$900) solution to add 4 outdoor cameras and another PC with Blue Iris installed ?

    ---------------

Or would it be better to spend $700 on a new i7 PC and switch, wait for another good deal from Costco for a pair of 1080 IP's ?

You can choose IP HD wifi camera .

  11. What is a recommended digital baby monitor to buy? I am looking for summer baby monitor for my baby. I want something cheap in price but also best in quality. My friend suggest me "[spam link]/" that link for online shopping. Any other option for comparison ? Please recommend some good ones that I can buy.

You can use IP HD WIFI camera with audio . At home you can use cell phone through WIFI .

So that even if you are not at home , you can look at your baby with cellphone .

    regards

    Philip

  12. Anyone happen to have the connector cable for the Everfocus ED Series Speed Dome? It's for the 2250 but other models also carry the same cable. I know there will be one sat there somewhere in someone's garage so please have a quick look!

    hi

I do not think so .

The attached dome is outdoor with IR ,

ED 2250 is indoor one .

We also produce speed dome in China .

Can i have a photo of your connector ?

    regards

  13. I don't know if there is enough demand, but I am wondering if there are any decent multiple brand compatible PC based client programs out there.

There are several for Android and iPhone platforms, but I have not yet seen one for PC. What got me thinking is I use Robert Chou's IP Cam Viewer on my Android all the time for testing a variety of different remote video connections. Digi-Merge, generic H.264, Dedicated Micros, Pelco, etc.

Is there a client software package that flexible for PC or MAC?

No, the answer is not to just use the same brand of hardware and video serving equipment at every site. For a variety of practical reason that just isn't always going to happen. Particularly for a customer that has facilities across multiple cites or even states or countries. For the most part I have been lucky enough to work with clients that were savy enough to understand that a certain amount of consistency in quality hardware is beneficial for practical application and user training. Once in a while though you get into circumstances beyond your control were a client has two or three different brands of equipment each with its own client software. Sure they can just load 2 or 3 or 4 different applications or if web compatible open multiple browsers windows or tabs, but they can't easily just watch a few key cameras from multiple sites all at once on one screen like they can with just one multiple DVR compatible client program like NetVu can if you have all DM equipment.

A shipping manager might only want to watch a few cameras, but he might want to watch the loading docks at three or four different facilities. If they are not all the same brand they have to use their smart phone.

P.S. IP Cam Viewer is a $5 ap I believe, but the free lite version is still fully functional for upto 6 cameras for your really cheap clients.

    Hi

Yes some App for IP camera is very cheap .

It depends on what DVR or NVR you will buy .

We will announce a new Central Management Software which can accept most Onvif protocol device .

  14. I need to put a wireless camera under a birdhouse in the middle of my yard due to a problem neighbor... problem is, I don't want to dig for a power line, and run electric to the middle of my yard...

I will be using a lorex LW2110. ( I chose this because it was cheap and wireless)

I was thinking of using a solar powered trickle 12v 5w charger, a small 12v 9ah alarm system backup battery, and wiring the lorex to the battery... In theory, the solar charger would feed the battery power during the day, and the the battery should last through the night, and be topped off during the next day, and so on and so on and so on.....

    Here's the questions:

    1) Would this work?

    2) Can i wire the camera directly to the battery or do i need something in between like fuses, resistors, regulators??

    3) How long would the battery last from fully charged, assuming it was not hooked up to solar power?

Here's the products I used in my head when thinking of this... I'm trying to keep it cheaper than running real electric cable in the ground. The only thing I have so far is the camera so the charger and battery are just listed as what I thought I may buy to use.....

    - Camera - lw2110 lorex wireless single camera setup

    - Battery - http://www.amazon.com/UB1290-Computer-Back-Power-Battery/dp/B007XIUPCU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1366981545&sr=8-1&keywords=12v+9ah

  15. Hi

I have recently joined this forum to try and find some expert advice to a problem I am facing. I have recently purchased 2 x Fastrax III PTZ cameras from the US. Before buying I had studied the camera specs to ensure that I get PAL cameras as that was the requirement. Fastrax III camera documentation specifies that you can select between PAL and NTSC formats by setting a certain DIP Switch. Based on this I went ahead with the purchase.

When I connect these cameras to a PAL DVR (after doing the dip switch selection to PAL) I get a black and white video with video roll/flicker on a LCD monitor connected to the DVR through the VGA Port. If I bypass the DVR and connect the CAMs to a multi system LED TV I get stable, color video.

If I switch the DVR to NTSC (the camera could be set to PAL or NTSC) I get stable, color video (can't switch DVR to NTSC as there are a bunch of other PAL box type cameras (these cams only operate on PAL) also hooked up to the DVR . I know that this seems like the dip switch setting is not working but that is not true.

When NTSC is selected on the camera with DVR on PAL setting, I get jerking video text when camera is powered on and goes through testing Tilt and Panning and camera initialization, displaying results on the monitor. When the camera and DVR and set to PAL the test result display is stable.

Just can't figure it out and would appreciate any help in sorting this out.

Thanks for taking the time to read through this post.

  16. Hello I am new to CCTV installation here is my problem

I installed a new camera in our warehouse its a [ CAM-5X-WDRU Analog High Resolution camera (PoE/PoE +Voltage Compatible/color] and am receiving what is known as a ground loop problem on my monitor.

The cameras are not using a coaxial cable but a BNC cable.

Am not 100% sure if it has to do with the monitor which i am viewing the cameras, DVR setting, or the cable that is from the back of the camera feeding into the DVR.

If anybody needs anymore information to help them understand what i am trying to get at i have everything at my desk.

    Hi

can i have a photo to see all your cable and connectors ?

    my email : Philip.Hdview@gmail.com

  17. I have a Swann DVR8-4000 DVR and it is connected to a Swann 750-Pro PTZ dome camera. The standalone PTZ box (which has a separate IR remote to control it) always works. When I connect to the DVR it works sometimes, but I am convinced it's not just a cable issue - it suddenly stops working when I'm not touching it and then only starts again after fiddling around powering things off and on and unplugging and replugging the PTZ connector. I wonder whether it may be to do with terminating resistors and have rung Swann but their UK TS leaves a little to be desired ("what's a terminating resistor"). I cannot see any switch on the camera and am waiting for their level one support to contact their level 2 support in Australia, but not holding my breath. Is there anyone on here who is an expert on Swann stuff ?

Also, I want to multidrop the PTZ so I can use both the DVR and the remote controller, I assume that would also have an effect on termination.

    hello

This issue comes form RS485 star construction or long distance .

Normally every dome can set the Termination Resistor to 120 Ohm by switcher .

Can you find the camera address switcher ?

take a photo to me .

    Regards

    Philip

  18. I have a new to me Pelco Esprit ES3012 that boots up fine and displays the config but once it finishes the initial positioning and appears to go to the first preset, it then slowly begins to pan left until about the sensor position then pans back. It will do this until I power it off. Back and forth, about 270 degrees. I never get a chance to control it, or get into the menu. It's almost like it goes into patrol, but only moving one axis.

I know my RS485 connections are good. I also traced the RX+ and RX- into the housing so I know I'm getting a signal up to the main board. I can also change dip switch settings and the power up menu will reflect the changes.

    Anyone have a thought?

Hi which keyboard do you have ?

Can i have the photo ?

if the keyboard is not Pelco's original , you shall set protocol and address .

  19. Hello,

i have 3 PTZ cameras in my CCTV system. For some cabling reasons, the data cables got damaged and the cost of rewiring can be very high and useless. i therefore decided to have them point at a specific area full time. the problem i am having is that everytime the power goes off, the PTZ will go back to its home position when it restarts.

i am looking for a way of disactivating the pan tilt motor from the circuit board so that it will stay on the same position when it restarts. i dont know if this makes sense but stoping them from going back to their home position without using the controller is my biggest concern.

Please help if you have any idea.

    Thanks

    HI

you 'd better to set your ptz the Home position by your controller .

Can i have the the photo (ptz and controller ) so I can determine who made it ?

    Regards

    Philip
