  1. Hi Dahua usually have 3 different firmware for each unit. From memory they have Firmware Support Push Notification, Firmware for SIP, Firmware for VTMS Management Center software. You need to find the firmware for push notification. I use to have it and if I find it I will post it. Also if you want to play around with VTMS then message me. Their is also some settings in the unit that you need to setup to make the VTO see the mobile as VTH. Once again I will try to find the documentation on how to set it up. Its been a while since I played with Dahua.

  4. I am after advise or if any one has pics ? I would like your opinion on Avigilon outdoor IR Bullet camera vs Sony IR Bullet camera. I have heard great things about both and both have very similar technology built into both of them. Thanks in advance guys
  5. Hi guys Have a look at this site zeecure.com/reports/bullet-camera-shoot-out it compares many bullet cameras with videos that you can download. All cameras are compared in control environment. I compared the videos quality of the images that you can download once a member (free membership) and didn't take the features into consideration and Avigilon picture wasn't outstanding when you compared the cost to picture quality. I am only commenting on what you see and not taking the extra cost you pay for branding and support. I was expecting for Avigilon bullet to blow the rest away.
  6. Hi guys I am looking to buy few outdoor IR 3MP cameras and was looking into Hikvision and was wondering between performance difference of DS-2CD8254FWD-EI(Z) or DS-2CD2232-I5 or DS-2CD2332. I believe they all are all the same camera but IR leds are different so was wondering has anyone notice any performance differences ?
  7. Has anyone used Samsung SNO-6084R or SNO-7084R ? Are they worth their money or should I use Hikvision ?
  8. Have a look at this one http://www.ezcctvonline.com/hikvision/ds-1282zj-dmmini-hikvision-ezcctv-?sort=p.model&order=DESC&page=6
  9. Yes you need an IR cut filter. The ir filter is used during the day and is removed during the night. Here is some reading for you http://www.flirsecurity.com/pro/2012/02/cctv-night-vision-camera-selection/
  10. You should just change the capacitor. Nice and cheap and easy job. And yes it is a common problem in the industry as many manufactures use cheap brands. Good luck
  11. Try this trans coder it competes with wowza and it is one off payment. www.ipvideotrans.com
  12. Hi guy just wondering if anyone used HP ProLiant Gen8 Microserver with Milestone. And if so how well does it work and what was its limitation. Was thinking to use for small installations. Any opinions welcomed.
  13. I did lots of study at University about compression and the best video server that I come across used JPEG2000 for recording and MPRG4 (h.264) for live view And here is a article worth a read that compares the two http://www.militaryaerospace.com/whitepapers/2012/02/curtiss-wright-controls-embedded-computing1.whitepaperpdf.render.pdf

    IP camera with PoE

Hi burglar22 If Cosco ships to USA address then use http://www.shipito.com/ they will give you a USA address or registering and their shipping cost are low. If the total import cost including shipping to Australia is less then $1000AU then you will not be charge nothing on top. But if it is over $1000AU you will incur a 10% duty. And for the cameras any camera performs well during good light conditions its the low light conditions that separate the brands. But for what you are after I would recommend Dahua what ever brand its sold under or HKvision both are sold at Cosco. Or one better Acti cameras. Have a look at http://www.NetworkCameraCritic.com buellwinkle site.
  15. MR2 can you post some day and night picture of IPQ2322x
  16. So does anyone have samples to post here?
  17. I sure he's covered up with work in his own back yard like we are. To many Hospitals, Universities, Local, State, and Federal Government projects to deal with "Joe" from Chicago that wants a 1mp dome on his front porch to see if the neighbors dog is peeing on his grass. Smith is right. 99% of the requests that I get on this forum are for small 1-4 camera systems. This is not my target customer base nor is it Avigilon's. Also rememember this is mostly a DYI forum so customers want product that they can install themselves. Hi thewireguys I don't think a DIY would be contacting you about 1-4 cameras that cost around $1000 each. I think most DIY go for Dahua or lower brand cameras. And why wouldn't a fellow board member help other member out. Personally I would help anyone out who contact myself. That's what forums are about, giving advice and helping others in the same field or industry.
  18. What cameras do you stock now? What is the total value of your current inventory of cameras? I don't know any installer who stocks cameras in the $1,000 range for future installations. Best, Christopher Hi Christopher I own a CCTV & Automation Company I have 5 fulltime CCTV techs not counting Automation tech and Contractors. 30% off our work is new installations and 70% is contractual maintenance of petrochemical industry and road traffic authority monitored road network. I keep around $5k in each vehicle of spares and over $50k in the depot. I don't know any PTZ outdoor dome that we stock that is cheaper than $2.5k. And if I relied for one of my tech to drive 1hr each way to a distributor I would go broke. We operate 24hr service all year round. And income tax that I pay for the workers in Australia is average 37% and up to 45% so time wasted is just money that goes to the Tax collectors. So whatever we service or install we keep 10% spares or more. Thanks Peter
  19. I totally agree with you anthonywebb I have sent out many email inquiries to the national distributor of Avigilon in Australia without a single replay. I have contacted member on this forum with the same out come. I was looking to purchase one sample unit so I can evaluate and if they were as good as some people on this forum say their are I was going to stock them for future installations but I have hit an dead end.
  20. Would anyone have seen a video at night of KCM-5611 and Avigilon 2MP Bullet and how they stack up against its other?
  21. ssmith10pn have you got the camera yet. Would love to see some pics and video.
  22. I am in Australia and Avigilon is extremely rare to see here. But I will track one down. Mostly likely it will be twice as expansive than importing one from the USA
  23. I contacted Sony and have arrange for product samples but cant get my hands on Avigilon. But I am going to post pictures and videos when I get the Sony products. If any one has contacts in Avigilon I would love to get my hands on 2MP or 3MP IR bullet camera.
  24. I think this is what you are after jvVpwSjM6HA
