  1. Hi. Set your primary to your routers IP the same as the gateway and enter 8.8.8.8 as your secondary ddns.

We're are you located and how old is your router and make.

    i'll try it,

    my router is new,

i didnt understood all you asked:

"We're are you located and how old is your router and make"

    change done,

as i said before, i dont have any feedback if NO-IP connect well.

email test still failed. (i guess it is configured ok in the picture attached)

tomorrow morning i will restart the DVR, and check again.

thank you so much for everything.

Why are you testing email from your PC ?? Why are you not doing it from It's much better if you do everything at your dvr .

Location means we're in the world are you. And who your ISP is

doing it from a far PC over the net, cause i am not always in the site of the DVR.

    after Restart

new "DDNS" of "myQ-see" working just perfect, another V in the check list, thanks to your advices. " title="Applause" />

now only the Email problem left open.

  3. Where do I say it's a must. .

EMAIL TEST FAIL is your post .

We have to work out how you view local and over the net ... Because your dvr says not connected.

What is your routers IP address .... And do you have more than 1 router

    ok,

    my apologize for not understanding.

    i have only one router.

this router is connected to some PCs and the DVR.

all of them in one subnet , Class A. (10.0.0.0).

locally, i connect over the Lan to the DVR IP. (10.0.0.X)

over the net, i connect to my NO-IP account that brings me to the current dynamic IP of the router, and in the router i forwarded to the DVR.

    all that works perfect.

    update:

    just found this thread:

    viewtopic.php?f=3&t=33991

i think my acount settings are ok :

  4. So you have more than one router ???

You need to stop reading Google to find your problem

It's simple you need your dvr onto a network gmail will not work as it is .... Your dvr needs a way out to send.

You are best telling us how your network is set up

    ok,

first i'll ask of this DDNS Configuration, beacause you say its a must .

so , should i register one of those in the ddns menu?

    ( CN99 / DynDns / Oray / NO-IP / MYQ-SEE )

    i have NO-IP,( if it is NOIP.com.)

on other PC on the LAN, the NO-IP Client work perfect.

on the DVR, i dont know if the NO-IP connect ok, i have no feedback for good or bad connection....

    any idea?

  5. Hi. The picture of your network is that how it is now ?

Subnet ....... It needs it if connected to a router ..... 255.255.255.0

if it was a calss C network, so it had to be subnet 255.255.255.0 (e.g. 192.168.1.1)

    but it is Class A , 255.0.0.0 (e.g. 10.0.0.10)

if i wrong, i will try it,

but as far as i know, it have to be like it is now.

    thanks.

Can you post an image of your dvr network screen

    here,

    i attached 2 photos,

    do i missed something?

    by the away,

    1. PPPoE is not confirured now, it with "0", not "1". (the DVR is connected to a router)

    2. my dynamic "ddns" is NOIP.ME, its not on the list of the settings, so maybe that the reason i cant set it working well in the DVR.

but still i dont thinks it suppose to have an influence on the EMAIL.

    thanks for all the help.

YES it has a big influence on email ..... ESPECIALLY When your not even connected to any network looking at your pictures.

That is the reason it's not working ..... Even if you did a firmware you would still be in the same situation.

You need to first get your dvr onto your network

And your gmail port is also wrong ....

    i'm a little bit confused.

    what do you mean by:

"ESPECIALLY When your not even connected to any network looking at your pictures." ?

my DVR is connected to the network and i can see the streaming through WAN, LAN and mobile.

so i dont undertand exacly what you ment by :

"You need to first get your dvr onto your network"

and for GMail port, i already tried 465 with SSL.

thanks again for all your help.

  8. I think you are going to make a mistake doing upgrade none brand name

But with you only talking LAN and you don't have your primary ddns set to your router. Then it's a network problem .

Do you have remote access with external IP away from your system ?

    1. i success watch the cams through LAN and WAN And Mobile.

that i did with "Port Forwarding" in the router.

    2. i realy not successed make the DDNS work proprely,

there more than one options in the DDNS .

i had to setup my DDNS, in other PC on the LAN, and that way my WAN IP is allways updated OK.

i dont think the DDNS is the reason for gmail not working well, hope i mistake.

i also think that upgrade firmware in non brand DVR is not so claver idea,

but if that the case , i will have to buy another DVR

hope to hear some more ideas from you (Expert).

    thanks.

  9. after reading lots of pages here and on google,

i can't send emails from the DVR,

    this is very annoying,

my DVR (16 Channels) system is V4.02.R11.31152053.10001 (i guess its chinese , non brand one).

    Build Date 2013-09-14 14:31:26

NatStatus DisEnable (what id that suppose to mean ????)

i can connect to the DVR with my mobile online.

i can connect from PC on WAN

but i never could email Alert or even send TEST email.

    i use Google Email

    already use :

    port 25 , to aspmx.l.google.com SMTP SERVER

port 465 , with SSL checked, to smtp.gmail.com.

    (this is google instruction: https://support.google.com/a/answer/176600?hl=en)

    (used less secure password: https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/6010255)

no success at all with sending emails

i guess it something with the DVR no properly configured with network.

The DVR IP is local and Static, with 8.8.8.8 as the primary DNS Server.

    any way to check it?

do any of the other "NETSERVICES" must be configured?

RTSP? ARSP ? DDNS? PPPOE? FTP? UPNP? NTP? DHCP?

maybe must do a firmware update (its very risky an there is no brand behind it).

    any help would be pleased.

    update:

i saw on some sites and also here , that the DVR firmware must be upgrade due to changes google made in there GMAIL.

can someone please help me find out my DVR Brand/Firmawre:

  10. The DVR IP is local and Static, with 8.8.8.8 as the primary DNS Server.

i can view the cams in another PC in the LAN .

Why do you have primary ddns set at google it should be your router IP ..... Your second ddns should be either 8.8.8.8 if that does not work then try 8.8.4.4

    thanks for tying to help.

first i did it as you said: router ip as primary DNS.

after i saw its not working, i tried change it.

i keep read alot about my email problem, an as long as i keep reading , i understant that i must upgrade my DVR firmware, because changes that Google made.

i would have hoping that the firmawre upgrade is not nessasery, but i think i dont hav eany choice.

will try again to change my primary dns, and make again the testing.

    thanks.

    by the way,

how can i find out what is my vendor/firmware?

    this is the board:

  12. I have two dvr's build date 2011,2010 both on different sites which email function worked fine. It stopped working about a month ago. I have double checked the settings using ssl 465 and tls 587 on smtp.gmail.com and have even tried hotmail account to test.

If i use the same settings with email ports etc. on newer dvr build date 2012,2014,2015 it works fine. Anyone else has this problem?

I really have no idea why it would do this...

    Dear topchips,

i have the same problem, and have no idea what can it be.

did you success sending email from the DVR?

  13. Still no go nothing

  15. Hi there itaishi.

At a guess, that's the power supply and control board for the infra red LEDs (only for the LEDs, not the camera). It turns the LEDs on and off when it gets dark or light.

The camera probably has it's own power supply.

What's the problem with the camera, and what make and model is it?

You could try using the camera with this board unplugged, and see if it works. I think it would force the camera into black and white night mode?

its really make sense , what you said.

i will try bypass this "IR PCB".

the cam is 540TVL 1/3" Sony CCD.

the problem with the cam is that there is no output signal,

i guess there is no output signal, cause i see nothing on the screen (blue screen like there is nothing connected).

the cables are ok for sure - checked with other cam.

    thanks for all the help...
