  1. I have a client who needs to convert H264 files into something more PC friendly. We upgraded his old system but they had an incident and although we've downloaded the file we cannot open it even after trying a few converters. I need an application that can convert H264 files. (20141119_110000_ps.h264) Any assistance would be appreciated!

    Reset a brand-less CCTV DVR

    Remove the internal battery and leave powered down for a few days. This should allow the eprom to lose all previous settings and reset back to default. Then try the basic default passwords like 1111, 0000, 0123 etc.

    You might need to run an add on? Or active-x issues? Have you tried logging in with the DVR client?

    Take the battery out and leave it for a week or more, then re-install the battery and power up. The password is 0123

    This is what I did: Unplug DVR. Remove internal battery Leave unpowered for a few days. (Left mine for a week) Then install the internal battery and power up the unit. Username should be "admin" with "0123" as password.

  11. Both DVRs need to be in the same IP range if you want to use the same WAN for entry from outside.
  12. You need to froward the ports on your router. (192.168.1.1) Are you able to get into the router's config?
  13. If you are not using the audio, it might be worth a try using those leads?
  14. What type of router is it? No-ip works great!
  15. You have two routers on your network so you need to acces them via different ddns's? You basically want entry from another ISP onto the LAN.

    Disconnect everything from it and reboot. If the problem persist your hardware (DVR) must be faulty. I don't think it's worthwile repairing. Replace with any brand H264 DVR again. Label all cables before disconnecting and you'll have to setup you TCP/IP as well as recording schedule etc again.

    And are you able to view the network settings on the VGA? Verify your passwords,IP adresses etc. Did you have power problems recently?

  19. I would like to know what signage you guys put up with installations. As well as what it costs. Dimensions, wording and type of material of which the sign is made please.

    I either charge for them, or give them for free in our installations with our logo and web site URL on it. And how effective is this as a marketing tool? I considered putting name/logo etc on the sign but thought this might be seen as an advert rather than warning sign.

    Forgot to add these are simply to inform that CCTV is in operation.

    And do you supply these free with every install or do you charge the client? I supply a sign per four camera system. 4 channel = 1 sign, 8=2 etc. A simple corruboard with a camera in a triangle. I charge around $3/sign additional.
