Hello, I have setup a Hikvision IP camera and have configured everything ok, I have installed IVMS-4200 and this shows the camera feed and records to the pc hard drive ok, however, I am unable to use the playback feature and search for footage due to the following error: "Playback failed ivms-4200.exe[317] error code, no record found" Can somebody please advise how to fix? thankyou in advance. Being honest, I wasn't excepting it to be as good as it is from a 8mp sensor. Daytime quality I'm happy with for a £130 camera.

Hi many thanks and I do not use IR at night and usually leave on day mode as lighting is very good in the street. Interesting about the resolution in screens surely if viewed on a 4k screen would be better than on a standard 720 screen where if the screen was large enough ( Mine is 55" ) you would get the chicken wire effect and see individual pixels if close enough.

I have pretty good street lighting outside my property so I wouldn't think I would benefit the excellent EXIR sensors , I would be more concerned about what difference the image would be 3mp vs 4mp as I have a screen to support the resolution.

Hi is there a free software alternative to Hikvision software I am using Hikvision IP wireless camera and Hikvision software won't allow me to view recorded files which are stored on pc hard drive and I have to use VLC or media player to view recorded files.

New Updated IVMS-4500 HD MOBILE SOFTWARE downloaded via play store and installed and it now scans your serial number of the camera , I did this from the box but comes up saying invalid number is this because it is a chinese camera?

You are using your outside connection ( WAN IP Address ) not your internal Ip ? You should be able to see what your outside connection is through the web interface go to advanced configuration and Network look under tab NAT.

Can you not change it in the software in the camera 50 or 60hz? you can on mine.

As above IR not illuminated either a setting in software or your power supply is insufficient to power the array of infared led's.

If it comes in a White/Red box then it will be a genuine English camera and if it comes in a plain brown box Chinese Camera either can be flashed with the latest Firmware V 5.1.6. I can not see any reason why either won't work with the Hikvision software IVMS-4200 PCNVR.

Come on I am in the UK we can park anywhere we like especially outside our own homes, parking is not easy as they are Town Houses and we all compete for parking spaces and not parked illegal in any way and the lines stop at the back of my car as that is a one way street.

Yes always helpful indeed as now I have a few cameras for sale now I know what I want and for what I paid for them I couldn't really loose out. As for night time the Hikvision 2232-I5 EXIR does give much better IR light and more even than the Hikvision 2032's that's for sure and not sure if I should have bought another 2232 in 12mm but I can see more of the Yard now but not as detailed as the 12mm. 12mm is definitely not for the front View unless I have to park my car across the road which is very rare and 4mm does give me a good viewing angle.
