    Intel Atom/Small Form Factor

I don't want to build a full tower. My only point of adding the link was to show that the system had a atom processor. I was using MSI Hetis chassis before but they've been discontinued. I need to find a replacement but I'm only finding "mini book" type systems. I used to use Shuttle barebone systems but prefer the shorter units that look plainer.

    Intel Atom/Small Form Factor

Check this out. I would think it works if they are selling this system. http://cgi.ebay.com/Geovision-GV-800-DVR-Complete-System-8.3-Software_W0QQitemZ180396463777QQcmdZViewItemQQimsxZ20090813?IMSfp=TL0908131610006r19541

    Intel Atom/Small Form Factor

Has anyone built a system using the Atom processors that are being used more in ITX and mini form factor models?
  4. The redirect is optional and something I do because I think it's cleaner for my users. The obvious fix would be to not use that option. I just think it's better is users don't have to type in 8081 on the back end of DVR link.
  5. the real IP of that url listed is 75.167.18.1 and you can telnet to that on 8081.
  6. Right, you would have to telnet on port 8081.
  7. The email got kicked back. Here it is below. So we use DSL modems to perform the port forwarding. Ports 3550, 4550, 5550, 6550, and 8081 are all forwarded to the private IP address of the DVR unit. 8081 is the port used for the webcams. I’m using a dynamic DNS service called no-ip.com. They have an option I use which automatically redirects port 80 to 8081. This works well for my users so that all they have to type is http://2296dvr.sytes.net. If I take the actual IP of this url and put it into LiveVue it works fine, but if I enter the url it doesn’t. Based on this I think LiveVue is not liking the port redirect that is occurring, or it just doesn’t want to see anything other than an actual IP address.
  8. The reason this is a problem is because if we have to enter an IP address in the field of LiveVue we'll be screwed every time the IP changes. If I remove the port 80 redirect from my no-ip setup then my IE users will have to type it in the browser.
  9. No, no. Our local ISPs block inbound 80, so we have the webcam setup using something else. Instead of my users having to type this in at the end of the url I'm just using the port 80 redirect option with no-ip. You software does work without the redirect in play, but with it turned on it seems to not work. Try using it to hit 2296dvr.sytes.net.
  10. I have to do the port 80 redirect for my customers who are not going to use the software and use a browser. So some folks will use the LiveVue and others will use IE for the same DVR units. I'm using no-ip.com

Can't install drivers from 8.11 CD

Perhaps that is true, however I don't think I want to try it due to the fact that I have about 20 of these in the field all running the SiS chipset.
  12. The port redirect works fine via the browser. LiveVue works when I put the IP in, but not when I put the DNS name in. I think it's the fact that I'm using a port redirect feature within my DDNS program.
