http://www.buglabs.net/modules/bugcam2mp If this is today's technology, then what will we have when this product is considered old technology like the "all tube tv set", or a 512MB computer??

It appears to be the same camera. This has the same specs, or is close as the link to the bullet camera you originally posted.

Apple courts iPhone developers! Now is your chance to develop DVR applications to view video!! http://www.itnews.com.au/News/78017,apple-courts-iphone-developers.aspx By Shaun Nichols 11 June 2008 07:48AM Tags: apple | courts | iphone | developers Apple has been talking up its iPhone software development kit at the Worldwide Developers Conference in San Francisco.. Plans for the SDK were announced in October after Apple was criticised for its decision to limit developers to browser-based applications. The kit has been in beta for several months. Apple promised that the SDK will give developers the same access to the iPhone's hardware enjoyed by the firm's in-house programmers. The tool will also be familiar to Mac OS developers, according to Scott Forstall, senior vice president of iPhone software. Forstall paraded a number of companies, including Sega, eBay and Typepad, which showcased early versions of their own iPhone applications. Developers will be able to create software in Apple's existing X-Code development environment, and much of the iPhone's code, from its APIs down to its kernel, is very similar to Mac OS. The company even offers Cocoa Touch, a touchpad development tool based on the OS X Cocoa framework. Developers will be able to test code on any computer by way of the iPhone Simulator, a PC-based tool that recreates the iPhone environment. Apple then plans to allow developers a number of ways to distribute iPhone applications. Commercial applications will be sold through the AppStore on iTunes. Developers will be able to set their own prices for the software and Apple will pocket 30 per cent of the sales. For in-house developers, the company will offer a feature to distribute software within a company. An enterprise will be able to authorise a set of iPhones for use with its specific network. In-house applications can then be downloaded to workstations on that network and synchronised to the iPhones. Apple also plans to issue a service for students and instructors known as Ad-Hoc. This will allow a teacher to authorise up to 100 iPhones to share and repost code within a closed network. Students and instructors will then be able to review and exchange applications for the device. Apple plans to release the final version of the iPhone SDK by September.

Do you remember when televisions were displayed in store windows, and they had a sign that said 100% solid state? Hmmm? Is that not a picture tube? 100%?? Hmmm?

Thank Goodness that we do not have to use tube testers to fix DVRs!!! LOL Welcome to the forum!

Sorry. It was a prank! I listed a link to a sister site of the link that you had posted. I originally said "this one is better". It had the same text, pictures, and format. It had a different company name. If you really want to know one of my favorite cameras then I will post this one. http://www.avsdvr.com/?s=product&sub=camera&cat=outdoor&p=vnd49ir I am not saying it is the greatest camera in the world, but it works for me in my environments, and customer's budgets.

It is hard to tell by the picture, but it looks good on paper!

I have never used that camera.

Bingo! You guessed right! AVTech is the manufacture, but who ever goes to Taiwan, and buys in bulk, and pays a fee can have the product privately branded! Yes, they have the exact same qualities, and flaws. CPCam is the "sales" arm of AVTech. They are actually competing with their own "customers"! This is why you will find CPCam products to be a little more than AVTech products. These are all the low level 4 channel DVRS RT4, RT4CD CP 501, CPD 502, CPD 502A, CPD 560, CPD 561 NUBIX 4BC, NUBIX 4LT DVR 8004, DVR 8614 GS1800 DVR 4017N, DVR RT4 DVQ2, DVQ2USB http://scorpiontheater.com/cpcamtechsupport.aspx This page has most of the distributor names, and model numbers. There is info on the different four channel DVRs and what model numbers they are. The AVTech AVC 760, CPCam 560, and the Nubix 4BC is a model 3. This is the only one that cannot be backed up with a USB, it has to be backed up by the remote software. Model 3 does not have the USB feature. Models 1,2, 4, and 5 do. http://211.75.84.102/web/manu/760.pdf AVC 761, and the CPD 561 is a model 4 MJPEG at frame, MPEG4 at CIF, 1 audio in, with IR. http://211.75.84.102/web/manu/761.pdf AVC 781, and CPD 501 is a model 2 MPEG4 at frame, MPEG4 at CIF, 2 audio in, no IR. http://211.75.84.102/web/manu/781.pdf AVC 782A, and CPD 502 is a model 1 MPEG4 at frame. Model 1 is the only one with the CD back up, and it has 2 audio inputs. Model 5 does not have the power/data bus, but it has 2 audio inputs, CD back up, and it has IR. http://211.75.84.102/web/manu/782.pdf A/V Support: Support 2 audio-in, 1 audio-out to record sounds (Model 1 and Model 2) Support 1 audio-in, 1 audio-out to record sounds (Model 3 and Model 4) Support VGA output to monitor (optional) General: Model 1, 2 and 4 support multi-language OSD Model 4 support IR remote control System auto recovery after power reconnected Support daylight saving function Support manual / timer / motion / alarm / network remote recording functions Watermark function ensures authentication of recorded images Support TCP/IP, PPPOE, DHCP and DDNS network connection

Federal Background Check Bill Should there be one for CCTV Installers?? http://www.secprodonline.com/articles/63574/ Members of the National Burglar & Fire Alarm Association (NBFAA) took their messages direct to the nation’s capitol during the association’s second Day on Capitol Hill, in a successful grassroots effort to educate national legislators about the concerns of electronic life safety and security professionals. One of the highlights of the two-day event was the announcement by Congressman Paul C. Broun, M.D. (R-GA) of the introduction of H.R. 5920 the “Electronic Life Safety and Security & Systems Federal Background Check Act,â€

I agree with you on that, but what about the home market. Do you know how many "old ladys" I meet where I have to tweak a system due to "lick, and stick" fly by nights? I do not begrudge the start up guy who is working out of his car. I will be more then glad to help someone get started. I just hate every other guy who says to himself. Yes, I can install some cameras. This is where I see 30 IR cameras that are supposed to be watching an area that is 60 feet from the camera in the dark! This is where I find cameras that are supposed to be watching at a distance say such as a mail box by the road, but a 3.8mm lens camera was used! I find instead of drilling the header, and using a retro low voltage ring, they poke through ceiling drywall, and drop the wires in to a closet then poke through the wall to get in to a room where the DVR is. They could at least put caulk around the holes!! This is where I find camera installed under the eaves on the soffit material. Here in florida they get sucked out in 2 seconds flat in extreme severe weather! They could at least put one screw in to a 2X4!! This is where I find DVRs are mounted in garages! Yes! Here in Florida! I came across an AVC 773 that survived two years in a garage!! I was amazed! I bet if I put my DVR in the garage I bet it would not last 3 months!! LOL! Just my luck! I do not like regulations, and Goverment "intrusion", but then again I do not like a lawless wild west either! The more difficult the install the less you will see of these "amateurs"! To answer your question "where do I find this stuff"? I use the force! Perhaps I have people all over the world trolling through every publication, and reporting back to me through clandestine radios!

What size hard drive do you have? If you have been using this DVR recently, then I cannot see how you can go all the way back to 2007. I doubt that you can store that much video on your hard drive. Is this a DVR that has not been used for a while, and it has the last footage recorded that is from 2007?? What is the time/date frame for the start, and end times? I was just curious.

woodyads is someone that you may want to talk to. He does a lot of this kind of stuff on the job. http://www.cctvforum.com/search.php?search_author=woodyads You can go through his posts to see some of the information that he has posted about his experiences, and how he has set up a security perimeter around a mining pit. Very interesting material to read. http://www.cctvforum.com/viewtopic.php?p=70534&highlight=#70534 -
