DVR motherboard hard reset (no reset button)

On my Swann units to do a factory reset without the password you connect the unit to your network to locate it's MAC address. Then you enter the MAC address on the login screen to reset the unit. -

My Swann 16ch NVR system lost power last night and would not come back on. Unit ran for about 4 years non-stop. Opened it up and found that three small capacitors (470uf@10v) had gone bad on the motherboard. Power supply looked AOK. Dusted everything out and put it back together. Unit is working again. Total cost....75 cents.....30 min labor.
