  1. About 8 years ago I purchased a kit of a Falcon NVR (FALC-NVR-8) several Qvis EYEVIP-5-FW turret POE cameras and three Qvis Viper 5mp POE bullet cameras. These are still all working fine but I want another camera, preferably a turret to cover my new car location. Unfortunately Ony-x/Qvis systems are not very compatible even to backwards compatibility. i.e. I can fit a Kestral camera to my Falcon NVR. Qvis/Ony-x/Adata are not very helpful by saying I have to upgrade everything. Does any know of a 5mp POE turret camera which will work natively with my current NVR? I know I can connect using ONVIF but I have one other Reolink camera connected by ONVIF and it doesn't display remotely when using SuperLive Plus app for remote access to my NVR. All other native cameras display OK.
  2. I'm in East Hertfordshire. I now have 3 of the 7 cameras gone offline for no apparent reason?
  3. I have a number of Qvis EYEVIP-5-FW turret POE cameras and three Qvis Viper 5mp POE bullet cameras connected to a Falcon NVR. They have been working perfectly for about 8 years. However a few days ago when looking at the cameras through the SuperLive Plus App on my phone, I noticed three cameras were offline. On return to home sure enough two EYEVIP-5 and one Viper Bullet were not showing on the NVR. All the cameras are connected to a POE hub and configured with a local static IP address of my LAN so I can connect to them individually. They are not plugged in to the POE sockets of the NVR.I have rebooted each camera by unplugging and reinserting the POE connection via the cat 5 cable however none of them have come up again. At first I thought the POE switch might be failing as the green leds on the switch for the three affective cameras were dimmer than the working ones. I have therefore purchased a stand alone POE injector and connected each camera in turn to the new injector. Again none of the cameras come back online.I can ping each defective camera but cannot access the cameras web interface, although can still access the working cameras.I thought there must be something common with all the cameras that has caused this e.g. POE and it seems strange that three cameras have all died at the same time.As an aside I have fairly recently changed my broadband provider and installed a new router. I had to change the default 192.168.1.x subnet on the router to my previous 10.0.0.x subnet and changed the DHCP scope from .2 to.199 as all the cameras had .200, .201 etc etc static addresses above the DHCP range. I haven't however configured static DHCP allocations in the router as they all were working perfectly and I can ping their static addresses?I have not taken any of the cameras down yet to physically inspect them as I don't have time just now. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I can try next or what the issue might be, other than they have died?
  4. Sorry for duplicate posts. I didn't think it had posted as nothing happened and the page timed out. How can I contact Forum Admin/Moderators?

  8. I have a number of Qvis-Eye5mp IP cameras both bullet and dome connected to my Qvis Falcon NVR. I have recently moved all the cameras from the built in POE ports on the NVR to a separate POE switch and configured them to be on my local Lan subnet. This allows me to access them directly and also allows the NVR to be located under my main TV in the lounge. I would like the tv to change to the NVR HDMI input when movement is detected on either of two selected cameras, The TV has HDMI CEC capability meaning it changes input if a connected device (TV Box, Blue Ray Player etc) is turned on. I was hoping to be able to use the NVR alarms to trigger an HDMI switch which will connect the NVR to the TV and therefore change channel, Has anyone else achieved something like this? Also and can anyone explain if it is possible to pick up the alarm signal from the NVR. I am not sure if the NVR motion detection is by change in image or if the cameras have infrared motion sensors. Its not detailed on the spec sheet. In the NVR there are options for sending an email or uploading to an FTP server. I could possible use IFTTT to use the email as a trigger which activates a smart switch but that might be a bit laggy due to time taken by email and IFTTT response. Failing that is there a manufacturer that makes an IP dome camera where I can pick up a motion trigger signal from the camera directly? EYEVIP-5-FW.pdf

    Choice of Audio Cable

Sorry Only just seen this as not getting notifications of posts. I am using te camera to stream live meetings via rtmp to YouTube which will then be embedded in our website. the cable is to feed audio into the camera as it does not have a microphone and even if it did its too far away from the meeting to pick up all the voices. I am therefore feeding audio output from our microphone amp so its included in the rtmp stream,

    Choice of Audio Cable

I am about to install an Exvist 8.0Mp POE CCTV camera in our village hall to stream meeting to Youtube via RTMP protocol. I need to run a long audio cable from the microphone amplifier at the front of the hall to the camera at the other end as an audio feed and trying to decide on the best cable. I have looked at various cable types including pre-made with included 3.5mm jacks on each end to rolls of cable. The lead will run in some large timber boxing down the side of the room and will be adjacent data and mains cable so it really needs to be screened to reduce any pickup. I am looking on the well known auction site and equally well known large online retailer and there are various versions:- Cheaper single screen 2 core withf metalized pvc wrap, Single screened 2 core with copper woven braid Double screen 2 core flex with metalized foil and copper braid. Single screen Two core Balanced microphone with tinned copper braid In each case one end will be terminated in a 3.5mm stereo jack to go into the camera and a 6.3mm jack or XLR plug Trying to keep the price of install as low as possible but don't want problems with hum or pickup on audio so any advice would be appreciated.
