    testing RG59 cables

These things kick so much butt! I had a customer bring one in and show us a little under a year ago and within 5 minutes of seeing it I was trying to find a place for us to start carrying them or to get one for myself strictly for trade show wiring. Awesome product and Great Recommendation!
  4. Check www.j2ksupport.com and look into upgrading the firmware on it. Thanks, John

    DVR Rack Mountable

Hello, Couple of recommendations I have are listed below. [edit by mod-store link removed] <-- barely over $1,200 (sorry) but it is a 480fps unit with a dvd burner and all of the other features you're looking for. Very good unit with email on motion and a great amount of other features. (Mouse support also) [edit by mod-store link removed] <---- $878.75 This unit is mpeg4 with good features on the remote viewer program as well as the unit itself. 120fps recording. CD burner is the option that this unit has also.(Mouse Support Also) [edit by mod-store link removed] <---- Way under $1,000. Keep in mind this unit is only mjpeg and not Mpeg4 so the quality will be somewhat lower on this unit. The remote viewer features on this unit is software based and is "ok" but nothing close to spectacular. Look over those 3 if you got any questions for me you can pm me or just reply to this thread for me. Thanks, John
  6. Did you try lowering the speed in the network setup? Thanks, John

    cut the 12volt plug

Why not use something of this sort? 3.5mm plug on one end and two open wires on the other! I'd get these that way you don't have to cut... cutting = touchy subject with some companies. Thanks, John

looking for a specific outdoor housing

Housing = 618HB Mount = CMB208 That's the best I got and it's a AC housing. Mount has a small hole through the bottom of it about 2inches in diameter and works like a champ. I think it would be around $50 for the combo but I could be wrong... the sales reps here always work well with pricing. How many were you needing? Thanks, John
  13. That's kinda like "pick your poison" is it not?
  14. You're welcome qasim I really tried to setup the router and figure out why you cannot connect internally but I'm rather uncertain. It's now setup tho to where you can connect externally which I think is a little harder than internal but uhm.... that's weird truthfully. Good luck and if you need anything else from me pm me! If anyone wants more info on the dvr goto www.j2ksupport.com . Thanks, John

  16. For what the whole system or the card? I'm hoping for just the card... if your budget is $700 for the entire system I don't think you're going to get a very good system. Thanks, John

Why does tag [img] not work?

Has to be a link to a .jpeg or .bmp file or something of that type file extension. Thanks, John
  19. Ohhhh The Jpeg2000 days.I got a walk through I helped make with Argus that I'll upload and provide you with a link to which should help you greatly. Checkout www.j2ksupport.com sometime also as it's got all the information on those units as well. Below is the zip file of the two walk through I have for that unit tho. http://www.mediafire.com/?jncc9o2rkaz Also here's a link to the port forwarding setup as well (tho I'm sure you know what you're doing). http://portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/Belkin/F5D7633-4/eMule.htm If you can enable remote admin I'd be happy to login to the router and set it up then tell you what to program into the dvr. Thanks, John

  21. Have you looked at the drop ceiling tile domes? They come in gold/chrome and work well, but in my opinion they are rather large. Like those? I know of em in 8inch and 12inch domes...

    H.264 Stand Alone

I got a 4channel H.264 unit that works well but I only have it in a 4 channel currently with a DVI/S-Video/VGA and BNC out. Also I copied a portion of the nighttime video on the unit and uploaded it here http://www.mediafire.com/?wdbjsk1t1vs as far as the video in the day goes the only file I have is 114MB so it'd take a while to upload or to split it up. If you want more info on it tho it's listed here Link here... Thanks, John
