It could be... Does it make sense to preemptively auto block an address with no complaints or history of abuse? To an email admin, possibly yes. To the innocent customer, no. Until I have email alerts working consistently I can not work on adjusting the alert levels. It's a catch 22.

For some reason I am unable to reach http://itunedvr.ru . My ISP (AT&T) is possibly blocking or having it's usual poor routing failure? Using The Wayback Machine to archive & view I see attachments that I have no permission to view?

I have failure on test with gmail, yahoo, ISP and 2 private domains. Note: test failures (in browser to camera & IVMS) doesn't mean in all cases that emails are not sent. FWIW, it was pointed out to me that setting the NVR to defaults after (before?) a firmware upgrade will keep old settings from interfering with new firmware setup. This is likely true with the cameras as well. I am to the point of wiping everything and starting over to ensure I'm not carrying ghosts from past configurations.

Note: I did uninstall IVMS-4200 v2 and installed IVMS PCNVR. I suspect this is what's controlling the alerts. As inconsistent and troublesome as the Hikvision software interfaces are I would have trouble recommending Hikvision if it weren't for their killer cameras. People may want to avoid Hikvision NVRs until (if?) they work some of the bugs out.

I have no idea why it sends email alerts or doesn't. All was working again (I have no idea why) until yesterday afternoon. I did something with IVMS-4200 and she went udders vertical again. I can't seem to grasp which interface is in charge of this system. All email settings are the same & haven't changed in either the camera's set up or in IVMS-4200. I am seeing blocked packets from the camera's to what looks like the NVR's POE subnetwork 192.168.254.1 even though the NVR has been manually set to 192.168.1.10. Still looking....

FWIW, I'm hearing rumors of a pending 2.2 firmware release.

I was thinking ROI on the LPR and facial recognition, not with my "wish I had" 2.8mm lens. Sorry for any confusion.
