Ip License plate camera

Recommended Posts

depends on what you want for your money. I've teste the mid range and the low end and they do pretty good. Never tested a High end as my clients all have jobs........

the common issue is the failure rate due to dirty plates, protected plates, weather, and quality. I've found that the mids and low ends have an approx. 85% capture rate which is acceptable if you consider the cost to install.

Low End; CCTV One day night color LPR camera. inexpensive and works fine. No IR and depends on lighting.

Mid; Use a ARM model that is discontinued so it's OBE. Still working. Use IR & slow shutter speeds to capture.

High End; Extreme CCTV LPR's.never used them but will if I get a call from Mr. Big Bucks

there are not many IP cam ones yet,

http://www.visec.co.za/features.htm are doing it.

it depends highly on the software also.

use the best of both words -an IR NP cam for the plate and a overview cam of the car.

I have used RegX and REG and they are both fine units, one day they will all be IP !

If your client cant afford a real one walk away !
