Arecont's at night and under IR illumination

Recommended Posts

greetings folks,

Has anyone found much difference between the 1 thru to 5 mega pixel Arecont DN [iR cut filter] cameras at night including the 3130 ?

Any model better than anther under IR illumination ?

And what lenses are your favorites I have discounted the 3130 because

of the lack of space to put a bigger lens

what is the biggest Len you managed to put on 3130?

thanks

Got an install with 5 3130's and the largest lens on one of them is a 12mm. The big thing with the 3130 is you will have to use a fixed lens because the dual sensors sit too close to one another to use a varifocal.

yes that's my point is it worth getting a DN version of the 1-2-3-5MP single lens units like a the AV5100-dn series.

Is the IR and night performance the same or better etc ?

These Computar/Ganz lenses > 12mm work great with the 3130, and should work with the 3135 as well.

M1614-MP 16mm

M2514-MP 25mm

M5018-MP 50mm

They are 2/3" format which provides nice sweet spot over the 1/2" Arecont sensor.

Physical dimensions of these lenses provide ample clearance on the 313x.
