I have yet to see a reliable cost effective 3G transmission system that works. The problem in the UK seems is that the 3G network is too unreliable for long term connectivity and will drop out or fail to get a connection when needed. They may be DPA issues as the set up of the data flow may be routed through third party servers before it gets to you. In addition the cost for transmission may be an issue, as the end user thinks it can be used a wireless system and keeps the circuit on permanently, (check issues on unlimited services subject to fair use policy).
