We talked about this one earlier. Think it is made by Nui$#%*

Have been wanting to try it for a while but could not find a dealer in L.A.

Found one at the ISC show, and they are based 15 blocks away from us! Picked one up last week and played around with it for a day and then installed it in a cafe.

Verdict: This is one cool DVR!

1. Built in CD-RW

2. Supports dynamic IP. They have there own registry server that the DVR connects to every 10 min to relay the IP info. Best way if you are using Dynamic IP by far!

3. Mpeg-4, so good remote frame rate.

4. Recording Res up to 720 X 480, with 5 different recording qualities that can be set individually by channel including frame rate!

5. Motion, built in alarm inputs and relay.

6. 4 audio inputs and 1 audio outputs. Supports 1 or 2 way audio conferecing. Obiously audio dealy depends on DSL connection speed.

7. Very user friendly.

8. VGA monitor input what actually looks great! Usally not the case for stand alones. Nice for those flat screen customers.

9.Remote client of web browser based.

10. All settings can be accessed remotely. Reording res. frame rate. color etc.

11. very good remote client. easy to use, saving files, printing etc.

12. Very good price. See dealer section.

13. Real time recording on 320 X 240

14. Remote control.

Cons:

1. Playback on browser based version, only on remote client.

2. Can't change username, only password.

3. Only a 4 channel model.

4. Only 4 user can log in at the same time, so not for pre schools. The VPON is the best dvr for that.

Considering that the market is for this DVR, I think it is the best stand alone by far for the price in terms of features.

For more info, see dealer section.

they sell this model in Miami

and the same manufacturer, different name:

www.Uriel.net

l

Thing is, I dont need a CDRW though, just the one without it, it has a USB port for back up. We WERE going to sell it as a mid range low end stand alone .. its still more than the 4 channel w/LAN we currently sell. Though a good unit for built in back up and VGA. But ....other options coming out.

Though Powertelecomm's new Triplex DVR coming in May will probably knock it off the shelf with pricing and features.
