In my research many manufacturers are saying that MP cameras with high resolution may remove the need for PTZ controls due to the ability to drill/zoom into any part of the image. Andy Stadler Security Partners Monitoring We are building 4Mp PTZ cameras at the moment. 5Mp can be done but with a big price premium due to the lens specification Unfortunately we are in the UK, so probably not very useful for you.
