event or continuous recording for pools and reflective glass

Our cameras are currently set on events recording. Of the cameras looking at pools and glasses, noticed that recording are randomly activated throughout the day. If I increase decrease sensitivity of the grids, the cameras misses people walking or swimming.

Better method than continuous recording at 3fs?

Honestly the best solution is to increase storage size. I loaded up my DVR with 4TB so that I can record 8 cameras at max quality and 15FPS!

Highly reflective surfaces and event-based recording usually don't mix.

 

If you DVR/recording solution allows for alarm inputs, you may want to look into separate motion detection hardware.
