Hi anyone out there help us out with an ip issue

We have several cameras IP which we have set up through our BT router which work well for a couple of days and then go down. When we check them out the IP addresses have changed. Do we need a static IP address to view IP cameras?

Please anyone got the answer

hi. yes you will need a static ip. the good thing with with BT is a static ip cost is only £5. and they will set it up while you are on the phone to them.

My reading of this was that he was referring to the IP's of the cameras and not that of his router, in which case you need to set your cameras to a static IP rather than DHCP.
