help for outdoor camera +- $400

Recommended Posts

Hi .

Im looking for a camera with follow specifications:

-1mp or more

-outdoor

-multiple formats (h264-mjpeg-mpeg4)

-12mm or 16mm lens

-poe ??

-need to view on client computer without installing anything, only open the browser (IE, FF,chrome... )and see the camera.

-need to put the live streaming in my personal website, with embed code

- more or less than $400

- no sound

- not necessary be good in dark

What i found:

-Vivotek IP8332

-Geovision GV-BL110D

-TRENDnet TV-IP322P

I have heard if i use h.264 I will force clients to install programs to decode this compression. I dont know if it is ok, then , i think better to buy one with multiple compression formats.

The camera will be used to look the beach, its not necessary to be good in dark.

What do you think about these ones ?

Are there another options ?

Any help will be appreciated !!!

Thanks

Just think about sun ... is it in the field of view of the camera?

This is Panasonic SP305 in the housing almoust all day direct sun shine:

If there is no much sun than GeoVision is ok. But Better take BL120.

Here is sample video

Vivotek IP8332 should fit your needs for under $400.

If you need a 12mm or 16mm lens, Evetar makes MP rated IR board lenses that'll work with the IP8332.

Yep, all the 1MP Evetar board lenses are pretty close in size.

I believe the stock lens in the IP8332 is an Evetar 3.6mm, F1.8.

The IP8332 has ~ 5mm clearance between the housing glass and the stock lens face.

Specs (including physical dimensions) here - http://evetar.ru/en/products/board_1mpix_lens/

IQEye cameras will fit all your requirements. The web interface uses both ActiveX and Java, and the MJPEG stream can be called direct from http command line, along with several options for image size, text overlay, etc.

Check your PM...
