That digimerge product looks a lot nicer than it really is...

 

The housing is so bulky and made with really cheap materials. We tested a sample and we were not too impressed. I'll give digimerge one thing though, they're really good at marketing everyday cctv technology and making them sound really special.

 

The CNB is a good unit. Reliable. It uses their Monalisa chip rather than the Sony in the Digimerge. That's pretty much my only Gripe with that.

 

The CNB unit is also about $40 cheaper if that makes any difference to you.

 

Everything else aside, Digimerge/Lorex customer service is pretty much non-existant so if you have any issues later then the customer service will just add to your frustration. I've never contacted CNB customer service before so I have no input there.

Thanks, yes I thought the digimerge looked better...still the CNN doesn't look too rugged....how is the video quality of both cams, day and night?

The CNB bullet is not rugged at all, the ring underneath is flimsy and its easy for anyone to turn the camera.

 

Although it costs more check out the 700TVL KT&C models.

Much better build and image.

they use the Sony Exview 960H Effio.

Do you have any sample pics of these KT&C models? I'm also looking at some of the CNB's and am curious if the differences in picture quality -- particularly in low-light are that much different..
