these cameras are new to the market. so if you can get them secondhand at £200 less. then i should think they are junk if someone has changed them already. but for £70 it may be worth it ...... better than paying £278.60 / $434.62

http://www.adata.co.uk/Catalogue/DVR/Apollo-HD-Lite/8-Channel/APOLLO-HD-8-Lite-DVD-Sata-500Gig-HDD-APOLLOS-HDLITE8-500

http://www.adata.co.uk/Catalogue/DVR/Apollo-HD/4-Channel/Apollo-HD-4-Channel-Sata-DVR-500gb-HDD-APOLLOS-HD4-500

ill ask him to set one of the £70 cameras up to his tv and look at the quality before i buy

what sort of money would i have to spend for a decent ir camera

i would prefer a vandle dome one

are the qvis cameras good quality?

thanks for your relpy

Try one of the Night Devil domes from RexCCTVInstallation.com If you can't find them PM me for their current URL The unit has great all round performance with minimal setting up and should be around £150-£160. Ultra high resolution WDR Sens Up and all the features you'd expect for that money.

night devils do come with a big problem if used to catch a face close up. to the point you cant use it in court.

it does some very clever tricks but the result is you end up with a Animation. it takes the light of parts and it fills in the rest.

the result is you end up with a cartoon .... something out of shek. http://www.youtube.com/watch?NR=1&v=AqFOSCFZ2DI&feature=endscreen

if you want to spend £150 on a night devil ..... it is a brand of system q you will find it cheaper there.
