crow 0 Posted February 14, 2012 hi just got new cameras and dvr's today and im setting them up on the bench before i install them ive set the apollo hd dvr to my tv with an hdmi cable and i have no picture the red light is on the dvr all the time do i have to connect to a monitor to change the settings to hd? cheers Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
SEANHAWG 1 Posted February 14, 2012 The DVR's output is probably too high for your Monitor. You will need to get in the DVR's menu and lower the resolution. The only way you will be able to do that is to temporarily hook up an RCA cable from the DVR's BNC output to your TV's RCA input. Warning: Since the resolution is so high, the words are going to appear very small when hooked up with BNC out. You need to go into the DVR Main Manu>Settings>Monitor> Adjust resolution to 720p and then hook your HDMI back up and you should be good to go. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
