I don't know the damn gauge of the stuff I have, but I have a lot of yellow, solid copper two core [peel apart to separate] wire. It's thicker than twisted pairs in cat 3 or telephone wire, for instance. Roughly double that thickness I'd say. I'm guessing it would be fine to use, but for a 75' or so run?
