hendra15 0 Posted April 9, 2012 hello, i want to ask... i have KPD674 with hdd 500gb in dvr. if my dvr is turn off and turn on again always ask to scan disk, and if i pick yes it take a hour to scan disk... can anyone tell me how to solve this problem? thanks.... coolie11 0 Posted April 11, 2012 Looks like a bad or corrupted HDD. 1. Test the hard drive with a diagnostic utility downloaded from the drive mftr.'s website or use Seagate's SeaTools For DOS. You will create a bootable CD with the file you download. You will need third-party burning software to do this such as Roxio, Nero, or the free ImgBurn. Burn as an image, not as data. http://www.seagate.com/www/en-us/support/downloads/seatools/seatooldreg Boot with the CD you made and do a thorough test of the drive. If it fails any physical tests, replace it. 2. If the hard drive tests good, then seethis notice by microsoft: [Q316506] -http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=316506 Be proactive and make sure you have backed up your data because the drive may be on its way out.
