Send Video Signal through Coaxial Cable

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone,

I have set an 8 - Channel CCTV system.

I would like to send the Output Video signal to 2 TV's, both of them have an RCA Input (Yellow).

I am thinking of Using an RCA Splitter from the output of the DVR and send the signal to the Monitors.

The Distance for the first Monitor is 20m and 30m for the second one.

I am about to use a Simple Coaxial Cable (like the TV antenna) and terminate it using RCA connectors. is it going to work? Iam reading lots of stuff on the internet but I can't conclude which on is the best or the appropriate one.

Any help will be appreciated,

thank you.

George

I do this with a short stretch of BNC to BNC cable, which connects to a BNC T splitter, then I connect the coax via BNC at the T splitter and RCA at the TV, always works for me, and its simple.

yes a splitter in the (out) port of the DVR will suffice, run both wires to each tv and you should have quality video! if the quality isnt as sharp as it should be try placing a plitter and the other end of the cable as your DVR might not have enough video power to power both the monitors! hope this helps. goodluck
