Whilst I am the same, exposed cable is a big security risk in itself.

All it takes is a sharp bolt cutter or less to cut the cable and you have immediately lost your video feed.

That risk is way over exaggerated. If someone could get to the cable, they can get to the camera and just cover it with a sheet of paper or spray paint.

Bullet cameras are much more of a risk than the cable. My neighbor had bullet cameras at his auto lot and the burglars would use a long stick to aim them at the sky.
