Will bnc to f connector work?

Recommended Posts

Normally to hook a dvr to a tv I would use a bnc to rca connector. If a tv doesn't have an rca input, can you attach the dvr to the tv via f connector? (bnc out from the dvr then f connector to tv).

nope, that will not work. If there is no Composite video input, you'll need a digital channel modulator, this basically lets you run a composite video input and throws it onto a CATV channel of your choice.

They come in a simple Ch3/Ch4 Version, Multi Channel, etc... Depends how much you wanna spend.

most VCR's have an RCA input (yellow). If your does, you simply need a BNC to RCA adaptor and then need to set the VCR to record the input from the RCA (yellow) input instead of the F input
