DNS server problem

Recommended Posts

Hi all, I connected to NO-IP.com site for a DNS server to remote view my cameras. It works fine until I turn my computer off. The website runs an IP address checker and changes it everytime my ISP changes my IP address. This only works when my computer is switched on.

Is there anyway I can make is update without having my computer on?

You need a device on your network like you camera or router to be compatible with noip...or use another service that is compatible with one of your devices.

Check your router for a DDNS setting and let it manage your no-ip status updates instead of your computer. You will have to leave the router powered on all the time.
