Hikvision

I have used some Hikvison cameras in the past and may have a project coming up and wonder if I can get some info from this group.

 

Firmware updates Do you have to do a lot of them or are they generally good out of the box.

 

I know Geovision went through a period where there was a patch every few months and that got to be a problem.

 

Longevity Do you feel the Hikvision holds up at least as well as competing brands?

 

How well do they work with the various CMS software that is not Hikvision.
