ccryan2000 0 Posted January 4, 2021 I have a Night Owl 1080p DVR system (Night Owl CAM-AHD10-8) that I have 6 1080p BNC cameras running to and I wanted to add an 7th 1080p BNC camera to. I wanted a wireless BNC camera and so I chose the Lorex LW4211, but it doesn’t display on my Night Owl DVR. I have tried several settings on that camera port and also moving it around to ports that were working and it still isn’t recognized. I set it all up right next to the DVR to try and troubleshoot. Any ideas on how to make this 1080p BNC camera work with my existing 1080p BNC DVR? Thanks! Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Your dvr is a different format to your camera dvr is AHD your lorex is cvi so not comparable either buy another AHD camera and loose the cost of the lorex (as it’s now used) or replace your recorder which are now cheap 4 in 1 analog HD covers all analog formats so you can use your existing cameras and your lorex ...... standard analog -cvi- tvi - ahd plus it gives your more upgrade options best on the market at the moment is a TVT dvr but dahua also does one Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

ccryan2000 0 Posted January 4, 2021 Ok that makes sense. I’m in KC. The use case is that I have the wired 1080p BNC cameras on my lake house but I also have a floating dock about 100ft away and have a wireless camera (Lorex LW2220) on there that has a wireless BNC receiver that plugs into my DVR but it’s low resolution and the view angle isn’t very wide.
