Hi, everybody. I´m back.

Hi everybody.

I had to register a new account, the email address from my previous account, doesn´t exist anymore.

The subject of this post is: I have a NVR from Hikvision, (ERI-Q 108-P8) from a customer, that doesn´t work anymore.

Symptoms:

*No video on any output.

*No detection on SADP software.

*The wired ethernet connection doesn´t light an indicator on my router.

*Pilot LED´s on front panel and circuit board do light.

*No 5 volts on hard disk power connector.

*The cooling fin on the main chip gets very slightly warm, after a while with power on. (You can barely feel it when touching)

I was trying to figure out which chip on the board is the corresponding regulator, and any faults on the line to the HD power connector, but its hard without a schematic.

Does anybody know where to get the schematic or have this same problem.

Many thanks in advance and greetings from Venezuela.

Why looking for 5v ….. hd 12v

have you looked at the power supply first

Good morning.

3.5 Hard disks use 2 power supply voltages, 12 and 5 V.

In this case, 12 V is present, but 5 V not.

I also checked the hard disk with an external docking station on my linux PC, and it was working.

The Power supply is fine with 48 VDC.

The required power for POE NVR's
