dropping feed

i have a westshine 16 ch hybrid dvr/nvr unit. it will show 16 channels on the monitor connected to it thru the vga or wven the hdmi ports but on a 16 ch. hybrid unit i have in the dining room table i get 8 ip feeds steady but the 8 bnc feeds that are showing thru the westshine unit are dropping all the time.  i have tried different power supplies and now using a 4 amp power supply so i'm not convinced the power supply is the issue.   i have ran a factory cat6 network cable from the westshine unit into the house and plugged it into the hybrid at the table and it still drops the bnc cameras. i do not think the hybrid on the table is the issue as it seems the ip cameras would be dropping out. that unit is getting the ip cameras by itself. but the bnc cameras are feeding from the west shine unit thru the network.  i'm leaning on the network circuit is failing on the westshine unit because the monitor feed is solid.

so what else might i try before i toss the unit.   maybe it needs a firmware update, but i do not know how to get one for it? maybe the network port on the back of the westshine is failing but i do not know how to test the port for a steady feed. or it may just be a failing port?
