nellson 0 Posted January 31, 2007 I was looking at the v8.1 software and decided to update my system at home. It's a 3 Ghz P4/512 megs ram from VueStar (Scott hooked me up) The diag tool they offer said my system checked out and that I could do the update. The install ran OK (I did DX 9c first, then drivers for the card, then the main 300+ meg download. It doesn't start.. no errors in the event log, no errors on the screen.. no new task in the task manager. I saw that 8.1 has the 1240 as a supported card, figured the 1248 (that's what it said when I was in the application prior to install anyway) would be a sub model and be ok, was I correct? nellson 0 Posted January 31, 2007 After I posted this I looked through teh forums again and found one other who had my issue. I did NOT uninstall first.. hrmm.. maybe that was what is needed? I wound up deleting registry settings (anything with geovision in it) then I waxed all the files mentioned in the Geovision FAQ on cleaning a botched install. Then I reinstalled 7.02 from my CD, and when to 8.01 then 8.1 and all works fine Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
