Can anyone recommend a cheap decent IP Phone solution?

Any regarding comments or experiences with such products are welcome.

Vonage is one you can try, Time Warner offers one...both have plans in the $30 to $50 range.

There are some downsides. If your power goes out, your phone goes out. Your phone may not be able to access 911 services.

Sorry for not explaining myself, but I meant standalone IP Phones that can be connected over LAN or VPN for in-house communication, with and without the need of a PC.

found this, it does direct IP to IP Phone calls if no service is available (if not online). it is open network so works with most VOIP Services I think this is probably what you are looking for?? Its wireless so you would need a wireless network, or maybe they have a wired version of it.

thanks rory, that's exactly what I am looking for. There's a lot of them, so I'm looking for a review or recommendations for a specific model.
