ronbo 0 Posted November 24, 2007 hi all ive been playing around with this VC8E ptz dome and cant get it to work the heater works and have been feeding power to the unit but cant get a image, im connecting directly into a monitor so not looking to use ptz function, yet. i dont have the pcb that is used in the neck of the housing i just got wires, any ideas? as ive spent two hours on this so far, trying everything so would like to know if its just faulty ( hope not) Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Joebo 0 Posted November 25, 2007 when you power up the dome it will go through a test procedure... at this time do you see video? Can you move the dome with controller (i.e. see cam assembly spin left or right)? if yes to both, i'm thinking iris is shutdown! if no control, check the 485 data isn't mis-wired (unless ur using up-the-coax protocol). What's controlling dome (small matrix, DVR, kybd controller, etc.)? Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
ronbo 0 Posted November 25, 2007 thanks for your reply, well at the moment im bypassing all control ie through my pc based dvr sofware and just seeing if the unit works. and no it doesnt go through the start up spin. ive checked the fuse and there is power to the main board.
