hardflip15 0 Posted December 6, 2007 Need help setting up stand alone DVR Motion detection. Its a 160gb Stand alone DVR. I am going to set this up with two wireless and two wide andgle camera's. Now I need to know how to make it just record on motion. in the dvr's menu I can select under motion detection low, med high. But that doesnt make it record on motion. On the back of the dvr there are sensor and alarm inputs. Do I need motion detectors that go into the sensor spot or something? Thanks for your time! Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

mr.surveillance 0 Posted December 8, 2007 Hardflip, I looked at the pictures and am not familiar with this machine. Does the motion detection show a grid in the setup menu? there should be one for each camera. If so you will need to turn on the portions of the grids you want to detect and set the machine in motion detect mode. Wireless cameras usually suck, especially if you are using motion detection.
