I have bought a JVC TK-C1480BE which has RS485 set up inc digital zoom, is there anyway I can run the camera through the Geo software? there is a setup program I down loaded! if I am using Com3 for my GV-Net card I have no serial port on this new Intel board other wise I could use Com1 loads of USB's! is the answer to get another Gv-Net card? if I cant run it on the present setup Thanks, John. ezCCTV 0 Posted January 29, 2008 You can have multiple GV-NET cards on one system, with the new one now connecting through USB. You could use a GV-COM, but is is tidier to use a GV-NET if you have the space inside your case. When dealing with RS-485 devices you need a separate GV-NET (or COM) for each Protocol used. radman 0 Posted January 29, 2008 Hi James thanks for the reply I did try Geovision but they just came back with a list the card will support not very helpful. The only solution I could think of was another GV-Net card and use Com1 or anyother apart from the one I am already using! then run the JVC software on it's own? Thanks, John.
