  1. I think you are mistaking frame rate as frames per second and shutter speed or exposure. Shutter speed for night vision would be typically 1/30 to 1/3 depending ambient light. However reading plates you would need fps of 30 and alot of ir light with shorter exposure time aprox 1/250.


  2. Wanted to see if anybody experiencing same issues I have been having with hikvisions DDNS service. Have a bunch of accounts that are unable to view over ivms4500 app getting not registered in ddns. However able to login via internet browser. Of course Hikvision tech support doesnt offer any insight oter than hard reset dvr. They admittted to problems updating DDNS servers last friday but this is a couple weeks now.


  3. RG6 fittings are going to be too big meaning will be loose on the rg59 cable. Where are your failures with the connectirs or the wiring? Use a multimeter for cable. If you are having problems with cheap bnc connectors you can spend the money and buy belden compression bnc. They have sliding pins that eliminate blind insertion.


  4. If you are creating a ddns account from the dvr/nvr you do not have to go to hik-online to register. Make sure it says success after inputing info for ddns. Hik ddns server are continually going down. They are saying they cant keep up with demand and are going to add more servers eventually. Connectivity has been horrible for the past month lets see if they do what they say they will do.


  5. If anybody is having issues still with push notifications for alarms using ivms-4500 please let me know. I am trying to work with hikvision on this. Clicking on remote playback of push notification brings back to different date and time. Or if the notification log disappears when entering the app. This error has been duplicated on android and iphone on the 7600 platform. Thank you.

If you are using any of the 7604 or 7608 NVR's and are attempting to use line traverse/crossing or intrusion it will not work., These series of NVR's are not capable of using the video analytics from the cameras. This is direct from Hikvision tech support. I think hikvision has to get their head into the game there is a lot of problems that should have been worked out by now with firmware upgrades. They seem to be taking leaps backwards. I think they need more input from installers and end users and not engineers.


  7. Newest version of ivms-4500 3.4.0 and newest NVR firmware. When receive push notification for motion the time is off by 1 hr on display from actual NVR time. It will display live view but when you select remote playback getting no record file error. Is anyone else experiencing these issues? Hikvision tech support is of no help. They just say everything is working fine. Have duplicated the error on iPhone and android. Any suggestions?


  8. New install worked fine during day. Camera goes very dark prior to sunset all other cams still in color. Night time no IR. Camera produces picture again in daytime. Bad camera? Voltage? Will order replacement just wanted to see how you guys would start to troubleshoot this. Plan on hooking it up direct to laptop first during dark conditions.
