  1. Hi. It looks like you have two problems. The first one was picked up from manufacturers a few years ago. Ir does not work well with a white surround. You will need to paint all white areas covering the lens area with a Matt black paint or tape it but with nothing glossy Your other problem is IR distance. I can see your cameras are mounted to high for IR to work. IR needs to have a target which is why cameras have a IR range which can be 15ft or 50ft or something like 300ft IR needs to return light back to the camera either by a object or the floor
  2. Hi. You will not get it to work that way ......you can't run it via VGA You need a pci BNC card. This then turns your PC into a dvr. But again you are wasting time and money. You have a cvi/tvi HD analog camera ..........you are only using 960h analog by using a pci card Why go 960h when you can go 1080p. Get a cheap tvi-cvi dvr. It's better than going backwards
  3. Hi. Your VGA on PC will be video out not in so will not work. That camera is 4in1 cvi-tvi-AHD and analog Analog being the lowest res and is the only format that will work when you connect it to your tv. Your tv will not display the cvi or tvi 2mp format. To connect to your PC you will need a pci card with BNC input. But again you will only be analog and will not be able to use cvi or tvi. For what it is going to cost for a pci card you would be better just buying a tvi/ cvi dvr its your cheapest option Then you can watch dvr on PC
  4. Hi. Out of date service to use. ......not been updated since 2016 so no protection Goolink is owned by Alibaba Cloud Computing which is not a good thing with all your data going to China cloud service. Get away from the GiDtype connection. But on your mini it is built in to always connect to China. Bin it and buy something you can control

swann cctv can i cut cable !

Hi. You can get cable management boxes for Swann cameras. The problem you have if you cut the data cable is if you loose camera settings like the IP address you will not be able to reset. Cameras connect to cable box ie becomes box lid.
  6. Hi. Sound like you are only using your local IP address something like 192.168.1.x Away from your home you need to use your external IP address Click on this to see your external IP https://www.whatismyip.com/my-ip-information/

New System Design recommendations are needed

It's low voltage cable ......not ment for 240v plus run is to long and cable conductors are too small Where are you located

New System Design recommendations are needed

No. You can't put 240v down shotgun........ Look at running 24v down then reducing to 12v at camera.
  9. Hi. That dvr is BNC connection (standard) if your having problems connecting then two things could be your problem. Wrong BNC on cable end .......50ohm and not 75ohm which is highly unlikely The other is you are trying to connect your bnc to a RCA connection...... your recorder has both. Looking at your recorder from the back you should be connecting your bnc to the bnc on the far left of your recorder The 4 RCA connectors along the top of your dvr are for audio
  10. Hi. Lorex or flur don't own the company as of this year. But the system is still made and sold by dahua who now own lorex. Your system sounds like a basic setup problem. But to start to try and help you need to give more detail on your setup. Distance from camera to motion area Are you on h264 or h265 Size of hard drive (did you install HD or did it come fitted) What settings did you put into pre and post alarm Is your motion set at camera or NVR Do you have same problem with day and night recordings How are you looking at your alerts (with NVR or smart pss) Can you post some pictures of your camera view
  11. Hi. First you need a CCTV company to help and give advice before you start anything. Also what about the data collection side of the system. Who or were will the recorder be ....who will be licenced ( public space systems ) have strict regulations and also the state you are in. If you can install the camera inside property borders then why waste $25k on solar. Just power cameras from each property and also use there home network for the camera to go to the main recorder. Apart from watching the street ....what about the homes protection
  12. Hi. That also depends if your camera realise on P2P and there cloud for setup.. Connect your camera to your PC and find its local IP and settings I will also pm you a network detection link and you can check every device on your network. You will also find the camera settings with it.
  13. Hi. If your reolink have already been activated via there app then they will not connect to your LTS

    floureon dvr conections

Hi. Unfortunately with the floureon you can’t knock back the output resolution once you have taken it out of range. What you need to do is find someone with a high resolution monitor of tv. If you have a friend or family member who has bought a new smart tv in the last couple of months that will be your best option.

Newbie from UK looking for advise

Hi. I have just checked that sells website ....... And I have never read so much crap in my life ...... I can see why he wants to sell you tvi over IP ...... The guy has no clue and has no right to print crap on something he does not understand. Totally the wrong advice. We're did the guy get this crap from Power injector is known as POE IP network is not based around your home or business router at all. Infact you don't need Internet for IP cameras or NVR. WOW more crap. You can make any camera wireless Infact with IP its best called wifi. Not wireless. Was this guys last job at McDonald's or something .... More crap There are no differances either analog or IP the rules are the same. I am glad you have desided to do your homework before you buy. Don't listen to a company that does not sell IP systems just because he does not have the basic knowledge of CCTV

Newbie from UK looking for advise

Hi. His tvi are budget hikvision .......so if you need to check if you had a good price just google tvi systems and you can save £600. Me and Henry do not get on .......he is 6 years in the industry I am 36 years . IP works exactly the same as any system .......cameras feed data to a hard drive and its that simple ...... Cloud is available for most platforms .........but you will find an extra charge ......but it's only needed with IP cameras if you don't have a hard drive recorder of PC With your budget I would go with the latest tech and not 3 year old tvi. I will pm you a better manufacture in the uk.

Newbie from UK looking for advise

Hi. If your paying more than £25 for a tvi camera in the uk then walk away from the quote. Also if it is a new install you will also save a lot of money going IP Look at your quote...... Your paying for baluns ...... Power supplies .... DC plugs ..... Junction boxes all of which you don't need with a IP system..... IP install is also faster and cleaner. Tvi that Henry has quoted is only 2mp with your budget your looking at going 5mp as standard. There is no charge for most device monitoring like your iPhone or pad. But if you are looking for Mac us make shure the recorder is compatable before you waste your money. £1000 for 5 tvi 2mp system is a lot 6 X 5mp with 8 channel Poe Nvr is well under your budget.
  24. Full price on eBay from none authorised seller . $600 for a door entry camera. Worst thing for mobotix was to go into China hands Can buy something much cheaper and look a lot nicer

    IR/Night mode issues

Hi it will be your baluns..... the rj45 type are useless for getting power to the camera since they only use 1 pair Use a standard balun and use 1 pair for video and split the rest for + and- Also 5amp might not be enough to run 8 ptz cameras that is less than 1amp each
